I stay here with some regularity and would highly recommend it to anyone and any family. I live in the eastern part of NC and when I come to the mountains this is where we try to stay. The staff is friendly and the rooms are nice. It’s also in a great location.

The motel could not honor my reservation due to some error. I did get a room for the night. I would only recommend this motel IF you work with the people at the front desk when making reservations.

Bed Bugs! I’m not one to write reviews, but I don’t want others to have the same experience. Bed Bugs! My friend and I were looking to stay at a hotel for a hiking weekend to the Mt Rogers area. Jefferson seemed like a logical location. Do not stay at the Days Inn Jefferson (829 E Main St). Not only were the rooms not clean, there were bed bugs. Yes, I did take photos and identified them through google images. I first saw a bug on my pillow soon after checking in. I thought I must have brought it in from outside. We went to dinner and came back. I saw another bug. The front desk person came to our room, unzipped the mattress cover, and saw bugs crawling inside it. Since there weren’t luggage racks, unfortunately I had my opened luggage on the bed. We promptly checked out that evening and had to find alternative lodging which was more expensive. We sent an email to the property manager to let him know of our concern and requested compensation for the difference in cost. We never heard from him. In addition, the front desk said we wouldn’t be charged for the stay but our credit cards were still charged. After trying to reconcile this with them, we had to call our credit card company to dispute the charge. Not only has this turned into a time consuming endeavor, it created stress to what was supposed to be a relaxing hiking trip. I continue check my house for bed bugs. Bottom line, bug begs and lack of concern from the property - unacceptable.
