It pains me to write a bad review of Stepper as their warranty service for inside the property has been first class, however, management of the landscaping is a completely different story. When we bought our house in May we were told that sod would be laid on a 'seasonal basis'. When we received the grading cert early summer the top soil was laid. We expected sod to be laid pretty soon after. The weeks passed, weeds grew in the new soil, every time it rained the soil washed out on the street, construction garbage frequently blew into our yard. Completely unusable for kids. Repeated queries as to when the sod would be laid fell on deaf ears. Fast forward to October and a broken tree was planted, the topsoil all ripped up and left in a mess during the process and still no sod... There is no excuse for this, every Genesis built house opposite ours had sod laid mid summer. I would not recommend buying a Stepper home in Bayview.

> Good people who care about what they do. There were a few bumps in the process, but that's to be expected in a home build. Overall, I wouldn't hesitate to recommend these folks. Christian was excellent at the start to help with selections and to answer any questions. Stuart was a good PM and Brad was very helpful in resolving warranty issues. Good admin staff too.

Just a question to the guy with the Tub/HWT issue. How big it you Hot water tank? If it a 50gallon power direct vent, should have no issues.. You may have something simple as a broken dip tube which is a 5 dollar fix. (meaning your only heating like 10-15% of the tanks capacity). That a manufacturing issue and nothing to do with the builder. Pretty sure their standard spec is a 50 gallon tank. Is your tub custom and was it sized correctly is question # 2?

Would be 4 stars if it weren't for accent electric's shoddy workmanship. Site supers care so much and all the other trades (except accent) are all awesome.

Be aware! Do not build with Stepper Custom Homes. It is now been almost 12 months we are living in our house and there is still deficiencies to fix (that were there on possession date) Building quality is horrible, workmanship proud inexistant. Neighbours in my area have various issues with them as well. Go with another builder
