Avoid Brookfield At All Costs

Avoid buying from Brookfield at all costs. My wife and I purchased our first home with Brookfield in July of 2018. As a matter of due dilligence, we asked our sales rep what structures would be built on the empty lot beside our home, and were told matter-of-factly that they would be duplexes complete with two-vehicle garages per unit. This information was used to inform our purchasing decision and was instrumental in our decision to buy. This information, as it turns out, was also entirely false. We were lied to. In reality Brookfield is permitting stacked 4-plexes (so 8 units) with two garage suites per structure (an additional 2 units) - all with a single parking spot per unit. I have gone door to door and discussed the matter with neighbours who state that they were similarly deceived and were also told it would be duplexes with adequate 2-vehicle parking. Brookfield has been wholly unwilling to make this right in any way.

I was very pleased with the manner in which all aspects of my transaction were handled. I utilize the concierge service provided by Brookfield, which manages the logistics and details of moving. The concierge did a very good job and, when a small error was discovered, responded promptly, courteously, and professionally to resolve the issue to my complete satisfaction.

The buying process was made a lot easier by the Brookfield Sales Team. I purchased a quick possession home and am so happy with it and all the follow up with Brookfield. Tressa and Linda were so amazing to deal with and I appreciated all their support through the whole interaction. Brandon was also really great at walking me through everything from the Humidity filter, furnace, and the other gazillion questions I had. The Move-In Concierge made my move so easy and effortless! Highly recommend Brookfield!

If I can, I'll give 10 stars to Crystal, for her fast response to my furnace issue and fix that within only a few days. I totally understand that it is an old wrong installation issue and even not Crystal's job before, but it is her to take the responsibility and kindly help to fix the problem now. Thank you Crystal for all the work and keep me update during my trip away from home, and fix the problem right away to return my a warm home before the cold winter. Brookfield should be proud to have the employee like you, and I do believe in you and willing to purchase another house from you 'cause I know someone is willing to take care of the customer, stand on their behave and provide excellent support. This is a professional and sweet customer service should look like!

Me and my wife had a fantastic experience with brookfiled residential,they did all their best to make our dreams come true,they make all easy for us.The possession is so quick Thank you for all the staff and also to moving company who help us to transfer all what we need.We love the place so much..once again thank you everyone,we are so happy.God bless us all

Brookfield, I can’t speak for others with negative feedback about your company. Mine has been nothing but positive. To me, customer service is everything and has the power to positively or negatively impact someone’s attitude or change the dynamics of a relationship. I contacted the office at lake SUMMERSIDE today after watching one of your homebuyer school video about HRV. The sales Manager Yasemin answered my questions and summarized the features and benefits of the product. So far, my relationship with Yasemin has been great. She keeps me informed of the Status of my home, what’s next to be done etc. Feeling inclusive in the process makes a difference. Personally, customer service is everything. Having someone to answer my questions when something comes up or even to keep me informed is what customer service is all about. Knowing behind all the paperwork there’s a human being attached and their history is what customer service is about. Thank you Yasemin for keeping me informed and included in the process. You are becoming part of my journey -You are making my experience as a first time homebuyer stress free.
