Alright everything was great as usual when I was paying my down payment but I got to learn stuff what these guys don't do. Most importantly they DON"T put dry walls in detached garage. So if they tell you ya don't worry about the garage, will build it. Please try no to trust.I was given assurance that garage will be built from scrap, however I was not told about the fact that they don't put dry walls in them. I found out on the day of my garage possession. There is nothing mentioned about that in contract either. When I called the office they said "Oh its just a homes by avi code that we don't do dry walls in detached garage". How Would I suppose to know about your code? How about telling me when I signed the contract.I would have never bought the house if I was aware of it. Now I will have to finish the garage out of my own pocket. How are they getting customer satisfaction awards ? No wonder they have been getting some harsh reviews.

Poor service during the 1-year warranty. The concerns and issue brought up during the selling process and orientation were all ignored even they have been written down on the form. The warranty coordinator just assumes no issue or concern, and expect to close the warranty for grant ... I have a hard with talk to her and need lot of evidence to prove my stuff as seem she has nothing from the file .... The tolerance for fault seem protecting the build so much that they are run freely away from the issue without any problem. The quality of SOD is different low grade as I was told by my friend from the other community with the same build, and I can confirm that too. It is definitely not a joyful time to deal with Home by AVI team in the Griesbach Community. I have dead SOD and it was promised to be replaced, the contractor ONLY ask me about the pic and no update since then, so it let the summer pass by ... I have lot of nail pops from one of my drywall, and it seems they can only fix them but not covering repainting the wall ... I truly feel the so-call "1-year warranty" is just like a "scam" thing to fool the customers.

My parents bought a home with these builders. The one factor that really disappoints me is the quality of products they install in their homes. We have laminate flooring, which basically swells up even if there is a single drop of water falling on it and since we have laminate all over the kitchen, its super annoying. We've had laminate in our previous home but it never did this so there must be a quality difference. Also one of the most annoying parts of this house are the handles to the cupboards. Yes handles- why - because they're extremely sharp, I dunno what the heck these people think when installing such garbage in their "brand new" homes. I've gotten cut from these stupid handles, I've actually bled from the cuts because they're so sharp. At the time of purchase we didn't really notice them until we got to using them. Please stop installing rubbish, cheap hardware, its extremely frustrating for the customers. I understand maximum profit is the goal when your making a sale but getting cut from these stupid handles on a daily basis becomes really frustrating for me as a customer :(
