Went to Mark 101 with an open mind and strong desire to purchase. As a previous owner of 2 condominiums, I was definitely more educated than most first time home buyers. My first job was to share my experience, my current on-going search and some other units I was looking at. The lady helping, named 'Diane', while professional - was impatient to say the least. Within the first 10-minutes she mentions, "I guess we do not have a deal for you, sorry," after mentioning I was looking at some other places priced around 195-205 K. My personal shopping should not be a reason to get defensive nor an indication of how much I was willing to pay. As a buyer, I had to come back and reassure her that there may be a possibility and that I was willing to pay more given I found the right place. Throughout most of the experience Diane quickly got defensive, often catching on small bits of conversation to reassure herself she was winning. "You didn't tell me about the referral," was repeated probably 20-30 times and that is no joke. The purchase option eventually became a test of patience for myself, as I continued to say the bare minimum to ensure we had fluidity of conversation. Eventually, after 2-days of negotiations, Diane asked me to come visit as she had the chance to speak with her manager. I drove 35 minutes to learn she couldn't come close to matching my offer. While price is completely understandable and do not expect a builder to change their way of business to accommodate me, I did however, expect Diane to be mindful of time and wish she had given me some foreshadowing on the answer. I would have contemplated a 35 minute drive prior to my visit. After all was said and done, it came down to numbers and we couldn't conclude a deal, which is entirely fair. However, there was 0 follow up, no thank you emails, nothing. The entire experience was very salty and as previously mentioned, a test of my patience with Diane continuously playing a one-sided war of defensive tactics. I told myself that if I receive a genuine call and any inclination of supporting my offer that I would buy, but needless to say, nothing. Just ended up buying a brand-new place and couldn't be happier. I sure hope Mark 101 ensures customer service is their top priority because their buildings sure are beautiful!

Come and see the Quality built into this project for yourselves. My wife and I just Sold our 10 year old Condo in Lake Country BC. After realizing it would be far better to Retire here in Calgary than in BC. As a Structural Technologist, Journeyman Carpenter and with almost 30 years as a Building Inspector; my expections for this project were exceeded beyond words. The quality of the construction is “bar none” in all my years of working on or inspecting thousands of buildings. For those of you who don’t know. Workmanship and Quality of work are not addressed in the Alberta Building Code. To repeat myself. The Quaility of the work is very impressive , in my opinion. Add to that the efficient use of living space . The close proximity to parks, amenities and a Future rapid transit site directly across 37 Street, that allows you to walk and leave your vehicle parked. Never mind the number of Pathways. My wife just on the Quality of Construction did not hesitate to make an offer to purchase and we are both excited about our “move in “ date. But I will let you be the judge.

From the first time we met Dianne and were introduced to the Mark 101, we were sold. The suites are well-appointed and have high end finishes. Not only did we find the perfect layout but the suite also came with a titled parking spot and storage room. The location is awesome with great amenities including grocery stores within walking distance. Can't wait for move in!!!

My experience with The Mark 101, and Dianne in particular, was easy and pleasant. Having just purchased a 1 bedroom condo, I am excited to see the finished product. The Mark 101 offers high end finishes and great prices. Their customer service is excellent. If you're looking for a hassle-free way to purchase a superior condo, The Mark 101 is the way to go.
