Purchased a Spec. House from Jaya in April 2014 on the North side of Edmonton as a first time home buyer. Decent houses, but found out the hard way once they have your money they do not follow up with warranty repair when requested, you almost have to continually call them daily. As a first time Home buyer I thought I would use their lawyer as it was free. My first mistake, found out later there were caveats still on my purchased place that were supposed to be removed due to second grading not completed, permits were never pulled for the deck Jaya Homes built; consequently, I had to apply for permits myself, have the deck inspected and fixed for errors for work they did and go through a process to have caveat on the property removed. I would truly advise anyone wishing to purchase a home with them, uses your own lawyer and get something in writing they will follow up with repairs, all permits are in place and caveats removed upon completion of sale. It was a learning process for myself, but this will be the last house I ever buy from these guys.

Their show homes appear really nice with nice finishings and seemingly good prices but you'll soon realize they are a company who does not value their customers. Once they have your money they don't care to follow up on any concerns or issues you may have. They won't own up to any mistakes and even insult their customers. Their website tells you they are friendly, build quality homes and care about their customers but that's a total lie. I contacted the owner and there's no response. They won't even admit that the paint on my front door is faulty when it peels with the slightest touch of your fingernail. They basically said if I wanted a door that is unscratchable then I should've bought a 700000 house. So in essence a house bought for 300000+ is just garbage to them because it's "cheap". The longer I live in my house the larger the list grows for what's wrong. They cut corners and on one of my garage walls they couldn't be bothered to place a full piece of drywall, they placed a piece that has a corner missing and now mice have been able to house themselves in my wall. The door to my house from the garage has a frame that's completely shattered. On the bathroom sinks they don't seal it all the way around, same with my shower. The list goes on. They only care to build a house that's on surface good to the eye. Abysmal customer service, beyond subpar workmanship. If you want to regret making a big investment in a house and you want to be ignored by your home builder then by all means go with Jaya Homes. They claim to stand by the quality of their work but then can't seem to be accountable or take responsibility when their work is questioned. What does that say to you?
