I have had a wonderful experience working with A1 as a subcontractor. They have demonstrated excellent communication, high quality work, and at a reasonable price.

I hired A-1 to design and execute a fairly involved remodel of an 80 year old home. The remodel included a completely new kitchen and 2 new bathrooms with structural work to true the house to level enabling the successful completion. Throughout the project, lines of communication were open and the A1 team was responsive to include an on-line project page and practically daily updates as needed. The job site was left in good shape, cleaned up and debris removed. I would use them again if ever needed and don't hesitate to recommend to others.

We here, at Gary's Plumbing and Heating would like to make a recommendation for one of our partner builders. A-1 Builders and Adaptations is a pleasure to work with. Their attention to detail is unsurpassed. When working on projects they communicate daily during all phases of construction, and we always feel very comfortable working with Cindy, Maggie and their team. We couldn't be more proud to partner with this company and highly recommend you give them a call!

Rick and his team are excellent! Loads of experience and talent on the A-1 Builders team! If you have a construction project, definitely get in touch with them!

Started off on a promising note for an interior remodel of typical Bellingham craftsman home, but we wound up having to fire A-1 for what felt like a bait and switch pricing scheme. We'd get a price for the work go be performed, but somehow the work always cost more...28% more here, 90% more there, etc. Claiming unforseen circumstances only goes so far...... These people, well-experienced and able to perform decent work, did not appear to have a handle on the dollars it would really take to complete each phase of the project. Perhapse they saw a blank check in their client. Either way, I would not consider A-1 again, as they just didn't practice good husbandry their client's money.
