We contracted with Hilton Custom Homes in August 2016 and took possession of our new home in April 2017. Immediately after our final walk-thru inspection we made a list of deficient items and they promised to fix. No date was ever given when they would be fixed but our assumption was that it would be less than one and a half years. This builder pushes the limits on basic understandings of timeliness on these types of issues continuously and seems to be getting away with it. We have been over the list of items at least three times and every time it seems like they lost the previous list and we are having to start from scratch. Today is October 24, 2018 and we are still waiting for several items to be fixed. After numerous contacts by phone and email with Hilton’s service department, last week they finally fixed an interior bathroom door that has not closed since we moved into our home one-and-a-half years ago. I even emailed the owner Spencer Curtis directly about the unexplained delays and although he responded courteously and led me to believe the remaining work would get finished, the delays in getting through the list of deficient items is still as slow as always. I have come to understand this company has become adept at starting projects that they are completely incapable of finishing in a timely manner and as a result, customers are left with unfinished maintenance items for years, if they are ever completed. The building contract we signed with Hilton Homes provides for penalties if the customer does not meet obligations in a timely manner, but the builder can seemingly get away with anything including clear failures to live up to contractual agreements and the only recourse for the customer is to take legal action which often may not pass a reasonable cost benefit test. I specifically wrote Mr. Curtis in early 2018 that I was going to give him an opportunity to positively affect the online review that I was planning to post publicly, regarding the performance of his company, because as things had progressed to that point, I would certainly not give him 5 stars. Well, this is my review and I can only surmise that the owners of Hilton Custom Homes don’t really care about their customer reviews. To be more specific I decided to rate Hilton Custom Homes in the following categories: 1. Basic home specs: *** 3 Stars (outrageously priced upgrades) 2. Promised possession date: * 1 Star (4 months late) 3. Communication : ***** 5 Stars (but poor follow up) 4. Overall workmanship: *** 3 Stars (rather low standards) 5. After sales service: * 1 Star (continuous unexplained delays) 6. Overall customer service: ** 2 Stars (understaffed and very busy) Overall rating: ** 2 Stars Summary. We would not contract with Hilton Custom Homes again based on our experience. It is my opinion that a home builder should maintain much higher standards in all aspects of their operation than what we experienced.

Worst experience with Hilton homes. It’s been 10 months and things those are pending are still pending. They don’t revert back your call. Neither they reply to your emails or texts nor they pick up your call. I have been calling them like every month to finish up the work but they have taken us for granted. I have many friends who have built houses with other builders, they are at much happy place than us. I would never recommend Hilton homes as your builder. I am literally sick of them.

Moved in ten months ago. House was incomplete. There was a missing brick outside it's still missing. Stucco and downspouts not done. Grading not finished (I have 2 months to get my deposit for the front yard). Wrong electrical outlet in master bathroom not replace. Powder room door doesn't close. Hilton please respond as I'm not happy and I have tried contacting by email and phone and have been ignored.
