Having lived next door to their construction mess for the last four months has been frustrating. Davis Homes is the neighbor you don't want to have! Construction crew is so loud we can hear conversations upstairs! We have complained twice and yet it still happens. When they graded the yard Davis contractors went into our property and tore up the lawn close to our fence and landscaping. The house they are building is literally touching the property easement line, the only one in the neighborhood. This makes the house so close to ours that it is an eyesore. Our neighbors brought the issue up at the last HOA meeting because they were concerned about the effect on the neighborhood. While technically meeting the county code, the county has the right to "move" any part of the house that might be sitting on the utility easement.

6 months later and we finally got the contract signed… wonder how long it will take them to build our house? I'm not sure I could ever recommend this place for anyone...

I went through Davis Homes to build my first home. I had such a great experience with the sales representatives here. I could ask any questions and they had a answer. to this day I can still call Ivan and ask just about anything. The personal relationships they build with you and the fact that they are there to help you through your process is what I loved most about Davis. Building a house is stressful enough, when you have someone to walk beside you and help and answer questions, it makes the experience all worth it. Thank you Davis Team. Ivan, David, and Phoebe!!!! you made my purchasing experience great.

I WILL NOT never ever recommend Davis Homes. They suck with communication, I've had multiple problems in my NEW BUILT home and haven't been here for 2months yet, I have to say I'm calling corporate in order to get things done. Nina Barnes is a JOKE and sucks at her job. My a/c don't work and hasn't for a month. The never finished the things they promised to fix when I moved in. They make me regret dealing with them. They neighborhood we live in is so "ratchet". If I would have known that they rent some of there homes out, I would have never moved in. I have newborn baby while dealing with this BS. I have a plan set up to where I can have my house paid off in 10years and after that I'm leaving and I won't be looking back.

A good house with a terrible company behind it. I'm sure there are plenty of reviews on here about how "great" Davis homes is. However, there is only one rule with building with Davis. Get is ALL taken care of before you close. Stall closing if you have to. Warranty is a useless maze of smoke and mirrors. We have been over a year now doing the three month warranty fixes and have not even started with the year ones yet. The final grade required another grand's worth of work for skid loader time and a tri-axle of dirt to fix what they left. They left the basement flooded for 2-3 weeks and stopped construction for near a month during May of last year. We were living in a camper at this point. Nine people in a camper for over a month past original closing. Think very carefully that your money may well be better spent with another builder. But if you go Davis, get it all taken care of before closing, or you will pay for everything else yourself. Staff turnovers are common, and some of the super's are rude and useless. It really is buyer beware.
