After being extremely happy with our purchase of a prestige home almost 14 years ago, we are now finding out just what we bought as opposed to what we thought we were buying. After those 14 years, our roof is leaking in several places and the help I received from Prestige was pretty well non-existent. So much for shingles lasting 20-25 years!. Now, as we make arrangements for a new roof,, we find that where the roofwas hinged for transport, the shingles are all cracked. We also found that there is a distinct lack of tar paper in the same area. In addition, as we work on addressing our air exchanger in the house, we find that there were many vents that were never hooked up. So it is indeed a shame that a company which claims to build quality houses actually appears to build them to need major repairs after a relatively short period in terms of houses. My recommendation...look at other companies, and don't believe everything these folks tell you.

I rarely ever write reviews but this was one of the worst experiences I've ever dealt with. Below is a timeline of the discussions with Prestige and I, that I've compiled from our email conversations. February 2018 - Began discussion for prefab build with our almost entire vision in place since this was our 4th construction. We were given an approximate ETA of 3-4 months. March 2018 - Constant delays so began contacting all site work contractors ourselves FOR PRESTIGE who is suppose to do that work. Met with team at prestige head office and gave $2000 deposit to confirm and ensure they prioritized our build. April 2018 - Finally got confirmation of all prices but everyone seemed to be on vacation so everything got delayed here. June 2018 - Told everything is moving forward as planned and all site contractors waiting on Prestige. July 2018 - After delays since February, we gave them a very generous hard deadline of October 20th, 2018. July 30, 2018 - received 100% confirmation by email that this hard deadline is achievable July 31, 2018 - We are told they will no longer do our project. As we read through the email thread, senior management mentions "With low margin expected on the deal (once we add in the homebase items below), an extremely tight timeframe for procurement, factory, and likely site, this project has too many risks to proceed with."Andrew O’Neill, CPA, CMA Prestige. We were told that our email pertaining to documents owed to us would be forwarded to the right person. We have not heard from anyone at Prestige since... Prefab is supposed to be an easier option to stick build. This may be the case with some companies, but clearly with Prestige, it is not. I would highly recommend choosing any other company than them.

We have been in our home for almost a year now, and the assistance from the Design Team in Moncton was outstanding. We approached them with three of their plans and showed where we want to make changes. We also had them finish our basement and build a large two car garage on-site. We both love our new home and our custom plan has caused a great deal of interest. Thank You Prestige!

We decided to go with prestige because of the quality of their homes. I realize now the showhomes are where it stops. Besides thinking we were getting a prestige factory home we ended up with hired people from their sales company(oakhill homes) and when it was time for year end fix ups lets just say we are going into our 3rd year and still awaiting on stuff to be fixed. I should clarify, we had to go above oakhill so prestige took some stuff into their own hands which at first we were very satisfied with until 3 or 4 attempts later we are still trying to get stuff right. Our most recent experience was in oct they fixed our countertop and transition strips only to come home and find out they installed the wrong profile and different colored strips. We emailed right away and was told they were ordering our stuff and see us in the new year. After several emails since the new year we attempted to call the office for someone higher up within mins we had a call from the original guy stating they would be here the following week. They came, but had no idea about replacing the counter tops used excuses that they misread our email and so on. Also our transition strips are now discontinued so we get the closest thing. We have to settle because of their mistakes. I could write forever on our issues but I just wanted to get it out there that what you see in showhomes is not the quality you get when you sign the contract for a purchase. During your walkthrough when you are told its a honeymoon phase so sign the paper and call them with things you find dont do it!

Never Again. Way too many problems to list. *Electrical panel has A LOT of condensation *Front door was flooding underneath *One year inspection was never done *We are going to have to pay an electrician to come in a re-wire the entire house, because of the electrical panel, light fixtures burning, and light switches blowing up. *We have to pay for someone to come in and fix the chimney, because although they stated it was wet certified, it is not. We had a professional over, and stated that it DOES NOT meet code. *Grading away from the house was not done properly, as a result, the water pools at one corner, and causes mold on the concrete in the basement. *In-proper insulation and vapor barrier, resulting in damaged window sills. NEED I GO ON ?? Extremely disappointing, and broker than broke. Lesson learned.
