We appreciated to work with Magalie Paradis, she was always there for us even during the weekends. This company is professional and they have delivered the house on time.

1 star because the sales staff is friendly and we enjoyed working with them. But beware - once you're past the notaries office, this company no longer cares about you. Their strategy is to take forever to answer your email. Once they finally answer, they need to check with mystery people, then they don't follow up. When you eventually do, they need to check with someone else - and the cycle continues until you eventually give up. This has happened to countless neighbors in our community. It's brilliant on their part. Great cost saving strategy. However, it's horrible for the homeowners. It's time consuming to deal with them, not pleasant and generates no outcome. Our lot has been improperly leveled for two years. Even an inspection report (that we paid for) did nothing to get them to come fix their work. I would avoid building with them. Save yourself the headache.

Not quite sure where to start....First very satisfied with the overall construction and quality of the material used. Where this company lacks professionalism, integrity and really "LIP" service ...in hopes that I will go away is in the après-service. We have had issues with the grading of our front and back lawns which was brought to your attention once we took possession. It has been over 15 emails and telephone conversations that have resulted in little improvement or action. They have removed top soil resulting in areas only having 2 inches remaining. When asked 2 foreman on the minimal amount of topsoil require, they both responded 6 inches minimum. Unfortunately this is not the case. On over 5 occasions I have asked for someone to come by and provide me with an update on the grading as well as the lack of top soil. Several messages were either someone will drop by soon, a new company is taking over.. or a preset date when no one shows. At a loss on how to deal with this...Not enough clearance between the house and the lawn. It should be a minimum of 6 inches to avoid erosion of the siding, I let them know however no word or acknowledgement of this being an issue. We had 2 cracks appear on the kitchen ceiling. After several weeks of reminders, worker shows. tells me I will be back to sand and put last patch of mud on the cracks. Does not show, does not call. After I email asking why, worker shows and finishes patching. Says will be back following week to paint...once again a now show and no call. So I wait, and wait and wait. Sent an email today asking why this has not been taken care of since the first work started at the beginning of May. I am pretty understanding if someone had called and said so sorry will be delayed....and give me a time line. But no, I constantly need to send out emails asking why and when...No common business etiquette....

Awful! Sales was great and then once we moved in we noticed many major issues. After sales service is awful!!! They provide the most vague answers and avoid fixing their mistakes as much as possible!! Many of my neighbours have had the same experience. Please send me a message if you are thinking about buying from La Verendrye, I am happy to provide you with pictures and detailed transcripts of our interactions!! Stay away at all costs!!

A very good construction company. We are happy with our new house. Everything was on time and like expected (even more than expected). A new home advisor Magalie is a good professional, it was a pleasure to communicate with her.
