Absolutely do not buy a condo here! I have lived here for a year and they have never once opened the pool and have practically closed down the weight room.

Dealt with Claridge Homes in 2017-2018. From the beginning had this very "professional" response from Joe Buckley the foreman of the site - on one of the meetings with him he said: "Sir, your expectations are way too high...you should go down. This is the way WE build in Claridge Homes and that is pretty much what I can say to you" Another meeting with him he said: "Listen, I don't really want to entertain you here, you are the only one who complains here" Mind blowing responses from the Warranty Manager Carole Frey - after I had a conversation with one of the contractor's representative, Carole Frey called me and yield at me saying: "You, listen to me...you are going to shut your mouth up and do what I am going to tell you..." There more incredibly "professional" words said including lies about myself and the way how I speak to trade people, and it just was 45 minutes of absolute crazy talk ! That lady NEVER LISTENS to you !!!! Never admits about the poor workmanship on Claridge Homes sites. Very rude and keep saying that NOW SHE IS GOINT TO OPEN A CALL IN TARION WARRANTY and my case WILL NEVER BE REVIEWED OR SATISFIED because she has been working in Tarion for 10 years and she knows what to do in order to make me punished !!! The construction is somewhat acceptable, but again a lots of amateur trade people who does not care how things done. Claridge Homes delivered the house to me with the countertop on the island about foot and a half shorter (see picture) , we had to live like that for a month - no one even said said SORRY ! Instead, Ms. Carole Frey made from me monster that everyone of her trade people do not want to deal with ! I am still dealing with some deficiencies in the house. Thanks

the worst company ever, I can say they are not professional at all. Finishing is too bad, many structural issues, not willing to fix it . They have issues in their customer services, their employee can insult the client in emails and can shout and use bad words when you ask for your right. They can ask you for appointment several times just to make you take vacation. Then they don't show up and when you face them , instead of saying sorry they start to insult the customer. the Managers can push the labor to insult the customer in emails with no apologize... Worst people in the after-buying service, not professional at all, full of mistakes, I wish I can say no star, but the system didn' t allow me.

Horrible experience!! Zero stars! I Bought a house from Claridge Homes. After finding many things wrong and accepting that my house was built poorly I had something happen that i couldn't ignore. Last year in April 2017 I had a leak from a light fixture in my living room. After calling Claridge and speaking to the manager Carole Frey i was told it was due to ice and snow build up on one of the vents on my roof. She then proceeded to tell me that she can send a roofer to check it but if it was "ice damming" I would have to pay for the service call. I told her water Penetration is covered under warranty but she didn't care and told me that i would have to regularly clear my roof of ice and snow. Nevertheless I agreed to have the roofer come and if it was ice damming i would pay the service call. After the roofer examined they said it was not ice damming and supposedly they fixed the issue and i was not billed. A couple of weeks ago on November 26th the same light fixture began leaking AGAIN. I proceeded to contact Claridge and spoke to Carole Frey the manager. She was extremely rude and condescending. She gave me the same option of having a roofer look and see. She also began telling me that last year my leak was due to ice damming (which it was not, or i would have been charged for the service Call). She had her Technician Jim come in and look . She then called me and said she wasn't going to do anything for me because there was Ice and snow build up. That was a lie seeing how the weather did not permit there be any ice or snow build up. Also her Technician did not have access to the roof because my backyard is locked and the leak is on that side. The leak occurred on November 26th 2018 which was warm and everything had melted, hence why it was raining. She was extremely rude and kept telling me "Get it through your head, I'm not doing anything about your leak" and "you're crazy if you think we are fixing it" . And worst of all she said "Do what ever you need to, get a lawyer, we're ready for what ever" all this while laughing. I spoke to Tarion and they agreed that the weather did not permit for ice daamming to occur. Also they confirmed that water Penetration is covered under my warranty. I have tried to contact higher management Shawn Maholtcher for about a week. I have left 2 messages and it seems he keeps ignoring my calls. The leak is extremely dangerous, it is a fire hazard and I have a new born and a toddler and it is still not looked at. I am SO disappointed with the service and HIGHLY recommend steering clear of Claridge Homes. No one should have to go through this stress and disrespect after paying close to $400 000 of hard earned money. Never again will I purchase a claridge home.

BUYER BEWARE! This is my experience with my condo at Claridge Fusion in Lebreton Flats. My phase is currently in the 3rd year of it being a condo cooperation. Claridge has left the residents here with an outdoor pool that has been closed down after only 2 years for an entire summer because they refuse to take responsibility for faulty workmanship; our condo board recently informed us that Claridge in all likely hood will continue to drag their feet on this issue for yet another entire summer/pool season before making good on the repairs. In addition to this, Claridge has left the owners of this condo with an extensive list of building common element deficiencies which they are also refusing to correct or make good. They are attempting a ‘blackmail type of negociation; we’ll fix the pool,b it not the common element deficiencies or we’ll fix the deficiencies, but not the pool....they are responsible for both! Lastly, when I purchased my south facing condo, I was told by Claridge that the mature trees that I was facing would remain forever, so several of us purchased in part for this view. this summer we discovered that the City of Ottawa is installing a Combined Sewage Storage Tank facing our south facing condos and hundreds of feet of these trees have been cleared. We have also been advised from the City of Ottawa that Claridge would have been advised of this since 2009/2010 during the initial planning of this project; CLARIDGE NEVER DISCLOSED THIS INFORMATION.
