We found Ben and Dylan Freeburn very open and approachable. Their quote was not the cheapest of those we looked at, but it turned out to be the most accurate. They kept a close eye on the project and have checked in how things are going after we moved in. The Alair web page gave us the chance to review the sub contractors' individual bids, where we chose which bid to use as well as helping us keep track of the costs and to ask questions via the web page.

My wife and i used Alair Homes Grey Bruce to build our new home this past year. Their unique building process let us have input at every step of the build and everything was very transparent. Working with Dylan and Ben was unbelievable, they answered all our questions (we both had a lot) made suggestions and gave us their honest opinion when we asked for it. I have nothing but great things to say about Alair homes Grey Bruce and would recommend them for anyone wanting to build a house where you can have input and watch your house be built at every step. Our house finished two weeks ahead of schedule and on budget which is a testament to our contractor. Thank you Dylan and Ben for your professionalism, attention to detail and patience with us when building our forever home. We will call you when we need the basement finished. We had decided to use Alair Homes of Grey Bruce because we appreciated Ben Freeburn's honest, down to earth, professional opinion. We were deciding between doing a renovation on an old existing addition of a farm house versus a tear down and start new. We decided to go with the latter. The project was to be completed in four months time which was hard to imagine as we were looking at a pile of rubble of what used to be part of our home. I remember thinking "what have we done?!" That feeling was short lived as we watched our new addition evolve quickly. The entire project ran smoothly (from what we could tell anyway) as Dylan had the hard task of organizing all the multiple different tradespeople. All the tradesmen were great to work with as well, professional and all eager to please the customer. We had the option of using a tradesmen of our choice if we so desired. You could follow your budget on the Alair online project management software, so as you choose your various options of design, you can follow your budget accordingly. As we have been living in our new addition for several months now, we are so pleased with how the whole process evolved over the last several months (especially after you listen to other peoples' nightmares of renovations). Would we choose Ben and Dylan Freeburn of Alair Homes again for another project.....yes, we definitely would. J. and S. McEwen
