Worst Post-Transaction Experience of my Life. Have attempted to arrange several appointments for warranty repairs, and no progress. Lack of communication between the office and contractors is unprecedented. Probably easier to get through the phone at the White House than these guys. Have had to miss several days of work to stay home for these guys to come to fix stuff, they either don't show up, or when they show up they don't have right paint, or they don't have the right work order - simply there is always an excuse. Planning to get the work done with my own contractors, and sue the hell out of these guys.

I had a brief encounter with one of your staff at the Beer Store at Bank and Walkley last night (June 26th 2018), and suffice it to say, it left the worst taste in my mouth. As I was waiting in line, this twitchingly excited, tweaked-out, 5'1", 20-something-year-old goblin of a human being strode into the store wearing blue athletic shorts - boxers hanging out, and a white tank top that ended two inches above his hips. Sporting a fauxhawk on his head, his patchy, thin beard matched the belly hair visible within the 3 inch gap left between the bottom of his shirt and his boxers. Without a second thought he barged his way past a line of 7 people to ask an associate at the counter about secret frozen beers in the back room. This confused the staff and everyone in line. He eventually made his way back into line before loudly, without solicitation and with disgust in his voice, asking other patrons why a woman outside was wearing a medical face mask. He asked intently: "what's wrong with her?" before his focus immediately dwindled and he drifted a loosely connected subject nobody asked about. This consisted of him loudly talking about his brother's auto shop in Calgary, a job that sometimes requires that he travels to Shanghai where the air quality is poor and people wear similar masks. When my order was being taken, as I opened my mouth to speak, he stepped ahead of me in line to once again ask for his "secret frozen beers". He then proudly started to brag to others, and I quote: "Yeah, during the day, I work as a supervisor for Mattamy Homes. I build houses, you know. But at night, I'm the supervisor of my own life." I lost more brain cells having had to listen to this pointy-chinned beanpole of a man than any of the beers I purchased could ever come close to taking away. To know this wicked creature is in charge of anyone or anything in any caliber within your business has assured me that I will never approach your company for any service of any kind. I could only imagine the other types of people you have on staff.

Staff is hostile if you visit before signing a purchase contract and they will deny you any services especially if you need pricing information. It is hard to get clear idea of how much an upgrade will cost you since the information is scattered in many catalogs and the staff will not spend the time to guide you through it. They will not provide you with price list and the only option is to use your phone to capture pictures of their catalog. Mattamy made a great efforts to make you buy their cheap base houses and then let you face the unbelievable crazy priced upgrades. Most upgrades are priced two to three times the market place and if you sign a contract they will give 5 days only to figure out the upgrades and the total cost.... the staff here will not help you at all during these 5 days, but when your contract is firm you will have no options other than taking what they offer you and what you can afford. I was told their show home has 80k in upgrades but when I tried to build the same house; the same upgrades would cost me +140k with no option to negotiate or discount.
