Extremely bad builder using all cheap material with non-professional installers OR work. Quality of work is very very very bad. Customer service is extremely bad. I wish giving them less than a star. They are not Starlne but blackholelane.

I bought a new detached house over 1.5M from them in Oakville. The experience is horrible. Below picture is just one of the examples how they built my house. This is the countertop installed in my kitchen island. I called their customer service Linda. She say this is what they call unique and refuse to change this defective countertop. Besides this, I spend over $500 dollars to do the kitchen range slide in from them. When we did the upgrade, the advisor say it will be a whole piece cross, which end up, I spent over $500, just bought a strip, and the range can't slide in at all. The construction worker is inexperienced and even the same type of house, the house structure can be done different. It all depends on which worker did the job. These are my backyard basement window. One picture is the situation of closing day. One is after their maintenance. I mean you can have your contractor do the work, but you have the responsibility to supervise their work because I paid 1.5M to you. What starlane do is let the contractor do the work, no quality control, leave all the mess to the new house owner and just don't care. I don't recommend this builder.

Good builder Improvements in quality and designs

Jun 27, 2018
I purchased a new house from this builder. Their after sale customer service are extremely tough and impolite. They treat their clients complaints in very unprofessional way. The ladies they have in customer service are very much unprofessional and always angry. They delivered a 750k house in a miserable situation (tiles and hardwood poppind up, paint is full of flaws, leakage in the sewage, doors hard to open or close, the access to the house is super muddy, etc). All what they had to answer was that I have to fill in their 30 day form and make me wait forever while leaving me under the mercy of their stressed out customer service.

We often hear horror stories about buying a home, but our first home was fine, and this one was too. We were very pleased with everything. The agents at the sales centre were knowledgeable. The designs were very good. The prices were in line. The upgrades were a little pricey, but you get what you pay for. Plus, their service at the decor centre was excellent. We're very happy with the end result, and our neighbourhood is great. We would absolutely buy again.
