My wife and I purchased a Hazzard home 3 months ago. The team at Hazzard have been nothing but amazing! They feel like family. Adam has responded to our text messages within minutes. Any small issues or questions we had, he was over at our house within a few minutes (literally 2-3 minutes at times - it is crazy!). I have never dealt with anyone with such prompt responses. Hazzard is in the business of building quality homes and making lifetime relationships with their customers. Unlike some other builders, they are not in the business of ghosting you after the transaction is done. In fact, they are the ones asking us if anything needs to be fixed or if we have any issues. They also ask us if anything could have been better for their future builds. Totally opposite of what you would expect from a builder that doesn't have much to gain after the purchase.

After about a month in my place I can confidently say that Phillip (owner), Melanie (customer care) and Adam (foreman) have been great. In short, modern homes require multiple trades that aren't directly employed by the builder. Knowing this, perfection is unrealistic, especially on the first take. So, the mark of a great builder is not a house without flaws, but someone who is willing to correct flaws and work with you to make sure you're happy. With that in mind, everyone at Hazzard homes have been outstanding. A note for prospective buyers: have a solid idea of what you're looking for and the budget you have for upgrades. With the amount of choice Phillip gives you, it's easy to get out of hand, or frustrated with all the decision making. If you keep that in mind your building process will be much smoother.

Very poor quality service. The owner of this company, Phillip Hazzard lied to my face when he worked with his mother at Rockmount Homes. The "house" I paid my hard-earned money for was built in such "good" quality that it leaked from the second story all the way down to the basement. As if that's not enough, they lied to Tarion Home Warranty that its been fixed and that it was my fault because I refused to do a water test. They did the water test but lied about it afterwards. They are scum bags and liars and they will cheat you till your money is all gone and build you a tent that leaks. They are hazardous to your health that's why they are the hazzards! Buy elsewhere if you want to save yourself a real horror show. Also the response he just posted is a TOTAL lie naturally! They did a water test and then LIED ABOUT IT TO TARION WARRANTY and refused to fix the leak until it leaked a SECOND TIME! Don't believe this liar! Rockmount is so NOT professional unless lying is professional! They actually lied to Tarion and told them that I refused a water test. They initially did a "repair" by looking at a few bricks at the base of the house and NOT AT ALL even in the area where the water leaked in. Only when there was a second HUGE LEAK did they finally come out and fix things and at that time they immediately SOMEHOW knew exactly where to fix the house which is complete proof that they were lying in the first place. Also I had to sell this house b/c I was afraid to continue living there due to it's poor quality and not b/c I wanted to so it's totally their fault! He also says it was fixed at "not cost" to me! Really? Having a the entire back wall of my house is at no cost to me? Do you know the nights l lay awake not able to sleep b/c of their lies and how they took my money and gave me such a product in return for my hard earned money? That's NO COST!??????????????????? They do not work hard for their money so they say it's NO COST!!!!!!! That's the kind of scum they are!!!!!! That's how they treat others!!!!!!! Also having your belongings soaked in water is also NO COST TO ME!?!??!?! Having workers in your house repairing stuff and creating dust and noise is NO COST???????? WHAT ABOUT TIME AND STRESS??? THEY COULD HAVE BUILT THE HOUSE RIGHT THE FIRST TIME AND NOT CAUSED ALL THIS!! The contract says GOOD WORKMANSHIP is what they will build with but that is NOT AT ALL WHAT THEY DO! DO NOT TRUST THESE LIARS. He says you have "his word" but I had their so-called WORDS IN WRITING and all they did was LIE LIE LIE. They lied to me and to TARION HOME WARRANTY! I have never heard of a builder lie to Tarion before that is just really very low! But they do that!
