In February 2021 we decided to build a new house that we hope to enjoy well beyond retirement. We reached out to Prominent Homes and met with their team to discuss our options. Their friendly and professional staff explained the entire process to us. We chose Prominent Homes because they were very accommodating and understanding while we navigated our change. They made sure to communicate to ensure we were involved throughout the entire process from framing to the finishing touches. Prominent Homes also provided options to make the new house our own! The quality of our new home and the workmanship that went into the house is beyond expectations. We are very happy that we chose Prominent Homes.

This builder is not to be trusted. They are greedy and they change their prices without telling. I booked a house with them a year ago (preconstruction). I was told a price of $670K. I paid a deposit of $20K based on the price quoted. Six months later, when I enquired about the progress of the project, they told me that there is a delay and price will be much higher than originally agreed. They didn't call/email to inform me about the delay. They changed the price they had told me. I thought I could trust them because they say they are the "builder you can trust". Had I booked somewhere else, I would not have been in this situation. I lost on appreciation. They have no values, do not trust or buy from them. In their reply to this post, they are saying I am investor. I am not an investor. I was buying this home to live. I had plans to retire and live in this home. They also claimed I cancelled meetings. First of all, I waited for a year. They never reached out to me. Every time, I had to reach out to them. Every time, they told me the price would be much higher now. That would be the market price, not the extra they have to pay due to higher prices. I never asked for my deposit back. They simply sent it because they wanted to cancel my agreement and sell at the market price. Once again, this builder has no ethical values. Here are the facts: 1. Lot #16 was booked at Ireland development. Deposit $20K was paid based on the quoted price of $670K, including all the stated upgrades in the email. I have emails. Please see attachment. 2. The model is "The Mark". See attachments. 3. I don't want any more upgrades, so the price is $670K. If you are still reading this post, this builder did not do the right thing. I trusted them with the price and paid the deposit to them. They told me at that time that they will do the purchase agreement once they had the approval from the city. After the approval, they want to charge me the market price. 4. I enquired about the assignment clause once. Just to check if it was there, not multiple time. I have that email as well. Simply do not trust this builder with your new home. There are other options. If they can do this to me, it can be you as well.

Prominent is truly a disgusting company. Our family put a deposit down on a lot over a year ago in the early fall as we had grown and we needed more space. We were told it would be done by summer, then delaying the process over and over again and to then just raise the price by over $200,000 at the end of it. I know the housing market has gone up over the year, but this is truly just greedy. We understood some things were out of their control with the county and were always patient and understanding, and then a year later to put the price up by over $200,000, now starting the home at over $1,000,000 when we were told 9 months before it was $780,000. Way over priced and awful customer service. Please don’t go to this company, shop around first you will be sadly disappointed. You won’t ever get straight answers and honestly they will take every penny from you in end, and keep adding $10,000 here and $10,000 there until it’s way over budget. Just awful. It’s truly a disappointment in Norfolk County that this is what we get

We recently purchased a new custom build home from Prominent. The experience from start to finish has been nothing short of spectacular. Being our first home we were nervous about the process, but Sam and Nettie made it easy (and fun) for us. The home itself is stunning and they over delivered at every step. I would recommend Prominent Homes to anyone thinking of building their dream home.
