I love there house designs, however the actual final product requires work. I will not say anymore other than I am disappointed with the final product and after sales service. There are many builders in Hamilton I have built with a few of them now... Unfortunately this build is my least favorite of the group.

Moving out of town with a family of 4 young children was not an easy task for our family, but the representatives from Landmart Homes (Penny Lanes Estates in Stoney Creek) were extremely helpful, flexible, courteous and made the process a smooth one. We are so pleased with our home and their prompt responses and willingness to answer all of our questions and respond to our needs. Thanks so much guys for our beautiful new home!!

I am Landmart home owner in Meadowland, Ancaster since June 2013. I have seen nothing but issues since I bought this house. Issues like mold, poor material, poor workman ship, Poor kitchen quality, cracks in ceiling,Uneven ceiling, low quality winodws. Please if you are thinking to buy a house from then, then don't. You can visit my home any day any time to see the truth yourself.

My sister purchased a Landmart house in 2010. Her family was very happy with the house. She recommended me to buy one from Landmart. I've been at her house several times so I know how good her house is. I finally bought one in 2012 and the closing was October 2013. Then, the disappointment began...... They're too rushed to finish the house and didn't take care of details. Just ensure that the closing was not delayed. Missing shower door or granite countertop is common on closing day. We found lower quality of material and work (especially wood related) when compared with my sister’s house. Also, when you see how perfect model homes are (I’m not talking about decor/staging) you will not see same quality when you really buy one. Dents, scratches, glue, and rough surface are on staircase, rail, and hardwood floor. I have double door entrance. The left side is for regular entry. The right one can be open for big furniture/major appliance move in. The right one is fixed with 2 brackets and doesn’t have levers on top and bottom. You have to unscrew brackets to open the door! Two issues on PDI are carpet damage (about 12” long) on loft and hardwood scratches all over main floor. It took them almost 4 months to approve the replacement, both carpet (entire loft) and hardwood (entire main floor). Furniture couldn’t be moved in because they would be blamed for damages. When they reinstalled hardwood floor, I just knew that hardwood is engineered hardwood instead of solid hardwood. I don’t know if it’s common but quite surprising. My washer and dryer were delivered in December 2013. The laundry room is on second floor so there is a curve to protect overflow. The thing is distance between the wall and the curve is too narrow that machines couldn’t fit it. After reporting, they responded that it’s standard size, they never heard this problem before, and my machines are too big!!! I went back to the store and couldn’t find any machines to fit in the laundry space. I went to model home to measure the laundry area (my house is same model as one of the model homes). It’s bigger than mine. Then, the repair was finally approved and done in March 2014. They are unable to fix the problems within reasonable time. It's difficult to communicate and get response from them. And, you have to fight for it....... In January 2014, I found flooding in basement (carpet finished by Landmart). Sum pump stopped working due to dirt/stone which were not cleaned after construction. It took 4 weeks to replace underpad (not the carpet) and 6 weeks to clean the carpet..... Finally, my house has open to below from second floor to main floor so I upgraded the structure to “open to below” (from main floor to basement) to create openness between all levels. It costs over $10,000 but turns out to be “open staircase”. The floor is not open to lower basement! The agreement was MISLEADING. I don’t know how this mistake happened. So far, they refused to do anything about it. I requested to meet with Landmart owner few times but requests were ignored..... After you submit 30-day form, builder has 4 months to fix your problems. You will have about 5-month frustrating period. Landmart waited until last month to resolve the issues. 5 months after the closing date, you can report to Tarion for inspection. Good things about Landmart? Design of the house and serviceman who look after minor repairs. My suggestion is there should have been a regulation to hold 3 - 5% of purchase price. It will be paid off when all major issues are resolved and buyers are satisfied. I saw couple negative reviews on Landmart’s facebook last week but there is no option to do it anymore! They must be deleted. Landmart always keep good review on their website and facebook page. This must be the best place to share my experience with Landmart.
