We live in the beaches-area of Toronto and after meeting with a good number of contractors, we settled with Alair Homes. The relationship between the client and contractor is an important piece to help deal with any bumps along the renovation road. Luckily we didn't have any major issues and if anything, Alair Homes suggested slight alterations (to our architects plans) along the way to better suit our needs. We dealt primarily with John and Greg and both were quite easy to speak with at all hours of the day. I would start many days communicating (via text and phone calls) with Greg as early as 6am to ensure all short term and long term decisions were agreed upon. As the entire project is itemized prior to starting, it allowed my wife and I to see, dollar for dollar, where our money was being spent. It also allowed me the freedom to pick and choose the work that I wanted to do in order to save some cash. We had purchased the hardwood and exterior siding (to collect credit card points), and Alair Homes was completely okay with our plan. Greg even spent a day with me to teach me how to lay down hardwood flooring. He even leant me the floor nailer for as long as I needed it. Overall, Alair Homes was professional to the max! We will hire them in a heartbeat for any future work. Since we lived in our house during our renovation, they were extremely supportive by ensuring the doors to our two kids rooms were sealed, nails and screws picked up around the house, and were always respectful of our neighbours and their property.

I had a great experience dealing with Alair Homes while undergoing a recent house renovation. Having dealt with the Trades before, my number one complain has been the ability to have someone call me back within a reasonable time after contact. I am happy to say that this was not the problem with Alair Homes. My calls were always returned promptly and any concerns discussed and rectified quickly. Hats off to Robert and his team.

My husband and I had a fantastic experience with Alair Homes. Through the entire process we were kept in the loop on budgets and timelines. Their online system keeps customers up to date on progress in real time. Our project manager, Pablo Willis, was available evenings and weekends for our (sometimes annoying) questions- and made sure every element of the reno was looked after. In addition to a beautiful renovation, we came in on budget (something you rarely hear from renos) and on time. I would highly recommend working with Alair and in fact have started to think about the next project we can do with them in the near future.
