Not what you think

My husband and I were so happy to move to Shelter Cove until you start having issues or request things that are on their site that entices you to move there, then you become irrelevant, non existent and talked down to. They don’t know how to treat their existing residents but can certainly talk you into buying one of the houses. In my opinion!!

Bought September 2019 We are very happy with what we bought. Will take 10 months or so to get built as we bought a lot that hasn't been serviced with sewer or water, etc. All these houses are on a solid cement slab and are hooked up to the local sewer and water system. No ugly sewage to have to get emptied. One reviewer says you cannot re-sell. This is absolutely false, not sure why they would believe that. While it's true some amenities aren't complete yet, they will be done eventually. It is a great time to get in at today's prices...and you could be my neighbor, lucky you...

We've been here for 10 years and have loved it from the beginning! It's a wonderful location at very affordable prices for a quality living experience. We've seen it grow from only a few houses and dirt roads to what it is now - a thriving, growing community of like-minded and caring people. We truly appreciate the responsiveness we've experienced from both the developer and Victor, the Site Manager, who have always addressed any of our requests. A great place to live - you should check it out!

It's a complete scam. They will sell you a $40,000 worth double wide trailer type modular home for more than $200,000. You don't own the property and you become their tenant. Other properties are now selling higher than ever in history, unfortunately you will not own a property in Shelter Cove and you will lose your investment. Do yourself a favor and discuss this purchase with either your kids, your investment broker or your lawyer, they will all advice you strongly against Shelter Cove.

I would never buy at this place due to in nine years 20 odd houses have been placed, not allowed to resale, lack of maintenance up keep on your lawns. proposals of amenities , only a very few have been fulfilled in nine years..

Having done my time with Dofasco and other Hamilton plants, I’m now looking forward to a quiet, active place like Shelter Cove on Lake Erie. It is so close to all my friends and family in Hamilton, Ancaster and Burlington. Here we can meet, swim in the pool or walk down to our dock and go out and fish the waters of Lake Erie. This is what I worked for all those years. This is what I want for my family.…
