My number one choice for a new home builder

May 2, 2017
I moved into a home in Oldfield Estates on March 31 2017. While I do understand it is spring, mud is everywhere, I don't understand why we live with a moat around the house. Yesterday morning to my surprise I found a lake in my basement. Someone called "Ken" came checked the sump pump and yes it was working. The water had entered at the foundation and through the window wells. Ken brought a small dehumidifier and said that while he was here he would "cut the tile" in the window well and also said he would have someone come to back fill around the house. With that said he left. This morning, all morning I watch someone back filling the house 4 doors down who were just moving in. I would have thought with the issue I had yesterday it would have been mine house with the priority. A man in a Ram type truck signaled me as I went to my car. He obviously is some type of supervisor or something he did not identify himself, no name or what his job is. I guessed he was from Kenmore. I told him of the issue the previous day and he immediately told it was not their responsibility to back fill and not their responsibility that the water came into the basement. Obviously I became angry since I clearly felt this guy was now just lying to me. He became angry and started shouting at me that they weren't going to do anything and that they cannot back fill every puddle and while saying this he stomped his foot in the puddle in front of me. Well this is nothing but bulling tactics that Kenmore Homes should clearly take care of. This man should not be allow to communicate with anyone. I am scared of this man, he is very threatening in his approach. So if anyone has an issue go straight to your sales person because their employees at the site from what I have experienced use bulling tactics to get away with not doing what they are supposed to do. As for the man called Ken, I don't know why he sometimes answers when asked a question and sometimes does not. I have never experienced such customer service or bulling from a company who brags about itself so much. A $600,000.00 house and this is the treatment I came to experience. So buyer beware, I'm pretty sure this is common for them to deal with people in this manner. By the way, having a problem even posting this. No surprise.

Outrageous behaviour. Disgusted by the service or rather, lack of. Definitely not finished lodging my formal complaint.
