If I could give this company zero stars I would. Save your money and your mind and STAY AWAY FROM COUNTRY GREEN HOMES! Construction delays, shoddy workmanship, horrendous customer service...I have absolutely NOTHING good to say about this company. I only wish I had read these reviews BEFORE I bought a home built by them. They shirk responsibility at every corner. It took 16 months for them to repair floor tiles (varying colours, orientation and some had chips in them). My neighbour had a plywood floor in her living room for TWO years. They ignore deadlines (closing date, one-year form, Tarion 90-day extension). Three weeks ago I had a flood in my basement. Their office was closed so I had no choice but to go ahead and have a plumber come in to address the problem. The plumber quickly resolved the issue and determined the source was construction-related. Now CGH is saying they won't cover the cost of the plumber because I proceeded with having work done without their pre-approval. What was the source of the water leak? Oh, a NAIL in the PVC pipe caused when a nail gun was used to install baseboard (I can only upload one photo to this review so that is the resulting water you see in the photo below)...water had been leaking between my floors for 18 months and they couldn't care less. I have draughts from my windows and get frost and snow INSIDE the house on cold mornings (which will result in water damage to the window frames if I don't keep towels on some of them). Just stay away... The only good news here is anyone who buys a home 2nd hand won't have to deal with this garbage as I will like have to fix it all at my own expense before moving on.

For Kitchener, the previous custom service was terrible, very unresponsive. Items not fixed for months. But things get better after those new staffs take charge: Gary, Lorraine and Mike. Hopefully will have good experience for now on.

Had a terrible experience with Country Green Homes. First, they delayed my closing for months without sufficient notice (literally told me like 3 days before closing that it was going to be delayed). When I actually moved in, they had tons of incomplete things. Missing mirrors, unfinished hardwood, missing upgrades and many more. The customer service department is super unresponsive. They will not pick up your calls or reply to your emails. They will tell you they are scheduling things, you'll take time off from work, and no one will show up! Super unprofessional. It's been months and there's still pending items. I'd be super cautious before going with this builder!!!!! All my neighbors have had a similar experience. Horrible!!

This review has been years in the making but it hasn't gotten any better. Dealing with their customer service rep Gail Ward was just the beginning of their horrible customer service. She had no idea what she was talking about and when she was questioned by someone who actually knew the construction business, she became rude and defensive. Our home was delayed by 4 months (not a huge deal). We checked it out in the spring and it was far from being completed but somehow, they slapped it all together in a horrible rush job. We moved in and that's when we began to complete our warranty forms with outstanding items. We have items from 2 years ago that have never been resolved! The most important one being the grading along our house. Water has been draining towards our foundation for 2 years!! They never fixed the issue and now I'm getting the run around from Tarion as well. Basically it has become our problem and Country Green has stopped responding to all our attempts to reach out. Talk about customer service! My recommendation to anyone looking at homes with Country Green: PICK ANOTHER BUILDER. Preferably someone reputable who treats you with respect. A home is a significant purchase in life and you should be getting the very best care both in the customer service area and in the quality of home they are providing. Shame on Country Green

As soon as I purchased my home, I felt like Country Green stopped treating me like a human being. Numerous phone calls to the customer service line were not returned, I was laughed at by a representative of Country Green, and I was told I wasn't a "high priority". In my opinion, no one should be spoken to in a demeaning manner and every customer (past and present) should be treated with a high level of professionalism.
