When I called Karen homes, I was surprised to hear that they were actually affiliated with another company, sort of sister companies. So I was a little un-sure if they will be the right one but they offered a free estimate so I took it. Long story short, I ended up hiring them to renovate my whole basement. it was a big job and I thought they were the best ones for it. I am happy to report that they did a great job. Basement looks awesome! thank you very much!

Be prepared to tell them you have an infinite budget or they'll tell you you're "not our type of customer". I called about renovating my downtown Toronto bungalow. I explained the project and that I needed it done in stages - basement and then upstairs. No problem. Then one hour before my first appointment, the contractor calls me to ask me literally how much money I have to spend! I tell him, firmly, that "I want a quote for the work, and I'm not wasting your time. My property is worth over $600k, so I'm not going to be wasting your time". "Well, if I come all the way over there and then you want the world for $20,000..." he said. I said, "I have a lot more money than that don't worry" And then he said, "Well if you're not prepared to tell me your budget you're probably not our kind of customer anyway." I'm shocked. Is it because it was a man talking to an independent woman? Who knows, but they were rude to me and wasted my time. Go ahead and hire "Karen" homes (actually some rude guy called Vitelli(?) homes) or hire any of the other politer, more trustworthy firms out there. Your choice ;)

I hired Karen homes to do a small bathroom renovation in my house and the whole process went very well. I think their team office team was great, they did a little questionnaire with me then sent a contractor to my house, the guy came and gave me a quote within several days and I hired them. The work was done in a very good way, they stayed on budget which was very important to me and also time frame was great. I thought this was a good interaction all in all and I would recommend them.

Karen has been doing various home repairs for our family for years. Recently we had a leak in our attic cause the ceiling to collapse in our daughters bedroom. They replaced the ceiling and two damaged walls plus painted the room. A perfect job at a great price. 5 Stars!

Me and my family recently moved into a fixer up bungalow in cliffside. Our living/dining room and front foyer we're in need of some modern decor. Karen Homes and her team met us at the house for a consultation she took our ideas into consideration and added some of her own. The now finished product is stunning, brand new tiles and wood floors, new storage, new baseboards and above all a new layout that just works for our family. We are so pleased with their work and highly recommend!
