WORST BUILDER BY FAR - STAY AWAY - DO NOT PURCHASE A HOME FROM THEM. Lack of customer service, Rude staff who respond to emails and don't actually care about your problems or concerns and a HORRIBLE closing experience to say the least. (Builder didn't complete hookups, didn't have the unit ready in time etc..) Have been living in the unit for less than 2 months. When I turned on the heat, it doesn't seem to work! I've called the builder who says call the Gas company, and the gas company charged me a fee to come "confirm" the hookup and found no issue! - Averton is not willing to compensate. Furthermore, they are STILL Not owning up to the issue. Telling me to call the Water company now and schedule a service call. This is a 2 MONTH OLD HOUSE - BRAND NEW and I'm having all sorts of problems. Also - Did not complete the items as per the PDI - when asked, they mentioned I did not provide access to the home to fix - WHAT?!?!? excuse me?? the builder doesn't have access to their OWN units - I provided the necessary authorization to go in and fix. STAY AWAY FROM THIS BUILDER AT ALL COSTS!

ABSOLUTE WORST BUILDER. If you’re able to buy from someone else, I advise you to do so. This builder was completely unresponsive and we dealt with THREE YEARS of delays. In the end, they gave us less than two weeks for the final closing without any prior notice. HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE. Buyer beware.

If I could give the builder zero stars I would they do not deserve even one star by far the worst builder I have ever had to deal with in my entire life buy at your own risk !! You could never get a hold of their customer service department and when you do by far the most useless the reception desk is super rude and does not ever want to help. Paying maintenance fees for absolutely nothing !!!! You have to fend for yourself for parking or else get a parking ticket would you have to deal with The builders keep putting it on other people and the management of parking put it on the builders no one ever takes the blame or the responsibility. It’s a free-for-all parking if you don’t park your car early enough you will never find a parking spot. By far the worst builder I have ever had to deal with worst they do not even deserve 1 star. The home itself has zero insulation you could hear people upstairs walking around, you could even hear cell phones ringing from the unit above you could hear them flush their toilets through your walls !!!!!! PDI was not even complete when I moved in took six months to finally get some of the things completed but that came with Multiple phone calls to the builders. Averton does not care about their homeowners they lied throughout everything houses were delayed for over two years and yet there still continuing to disappoint their homeowners !!!! WORST BUILDER EVERRRRRRRRRRRR!!!!!!!!!!! And don’t bother with their head office. Management is like no other. WORST!! All they wanted was our money. Put zero effort into building these homes. I’m not even sure theyre safe enough to be lived in :S

I agree with Dill Jay about the insulation. I was hesitant to buy a stacked town or semi detached townhome for this very reason, that i would be able to hear the neighbors and vice versa, if the house isn't properly insulated. I feel like my savings by purchasing this Averton stacked home has gone waste. I should have waited. But oh well! It seems like the builder has their ways at all times, esp with closing. It's like the builder wanted to close the initial closing just to get money coming in, but not to spend the money on the right products to build houses. It's a cheap made house. Definitely not my long term home, never buying an Averton home again. I was better off renting than buying the averton home.

I blame myself!! should have researched this company thoroughly!! A friend of mine was buying in the development and I followed suit! From missing upgrades to extremely poor workmanship and customer service!!! issues too numerous to mention! Every day is another day for fixing essential things like security!! The door refuses to engage this was pointed out three weeks ago... promises promises promises! who's up for creating a blog on this builder. I am compling photos to share on the finished product of an over $570K of this builder! STAY AWAY! Upgraded carpet that has pulled up and ripped that will not be addressed by Averton Homes when we bring it up to them, basement stairs are lose and extremely un-level, a concrete block in the basement that is 3.5ft tall a foot wide and 3 ft long that sticks out into the middle of a tiny basement(the excuse for this was " this is how we pour our foundations, there is no structural support in this block"), black fence was put up infront of our house that we were never told about, it was not in any contract and we were never told about it until the day we came home from work and saw the fence in our front yard. These are just some of the problems of dealing with Averton homes. Items that were on our PDI that were suppose to be fixed and completed by September have still not been addressed and trying to deal with Lyla Averton homescustomer care is impossible, it takes weeks and sometimes months to get a response to a phone call or an email. If I could do this all over again I would stay as far away as possible from these people as possible. Do yourself a favour if your thinking about buying one of these homes and stay far far away its nothing but a nightmare and disapointment.
