I was having trouble hearing people taking to me more then five feet away so I went to two other hearing specialists and was told to buy the hearing aids and I could return them less a restocking fee which I didn’t do, so I let it go for over a year. I stopped at FHC and said I had a few questions about hearing loss and I was given a hearing test and was told I could try a demo set for two weeks which I was denied at two previous other hearing specialists in Kingston. It was such a difference in hearing I purchased a set and kept the demo set until my new hearing aids arrived. I was missing so many conversations before I received the demo set from Peggy the owner. The Bernafon Zerena 7 have worked great for the past 1.5 years, absolutely would never go anywhere else. Peter D. Bishop.

The level of care and service received at Frontenac Hearing Clinic cannot be surpassed. From the assessment of the hearing impairment to the purchase and fitting of the hearing aids, every step of the process was made with the ultimate respect and professionalism. The service post- purchase was first class and problem free. From minor adjustments to flagging a medical emergency (which saved my hearing), Peggy Plunkett's expertise is top notch. However, what sets FTC apart, is the level of caring one feels when one is a client at Frontenac Hearing Clinic. I really feel that my well-being matters to them, and that my satisfaction is their top priority. I unreservedly recommend Peggy Plunkett and her staff for they do not spare any effort to ensure your comfort and satisfaction. Louise Dufour-Morrissey Kingston

This review was written by Robert Stanley Brown, my husband. He doesn't use a Google Account, so I am posting this for him. I was referred to Frontenac Hearing Clinic (FHC) through an on-line provider of hearing devices. The first visit to FHC involved the usual hearing assessment by the owner and audiologist, Peggy Plunkett, which was done efficiently and professionally. The results confirmed that my hearing situation of some years had not changed and so required specialized devices for which there are limited providers, some of which I had used in the past provided by another hearing center. At FHC the options were thoroughly presented by Peggy with an assessment of the pros and cons of each set of devices. The recommended product was very new on the market and has proved to be far superior to my previous devices that were only about three years old. This is an area where technology advancements really make marked improvements over the well-known weaknesses of older devices such as noise reduction in crowded rooms, problems in windy situations, clattering of dishes etc.. Some adjustments were made in follow-up visits which solved specific problems, so I am now to the point where I am very satisfied with the devices. Frontenac Hearing Clinic is now my preferred place to go for my needs. It's clear to me that the owner/audiologist is up-to-date with the latest technologies. I was impressed with her professional relationships the technical staff of the device suppliers. This was evidenced during some of my visits by her being able to pick up the 'phone to talk directly with a technologist about some intricate problem. Each visit to FHC convinces me that the staff and owner really care about the well-being of the clients and their needs. Appointments are kept on time although nothing seems rushed. Being a smaller office, it is easy to see that the customers enjoy their visits and the personal services they receive. Professionalism, knowledge of field, and service...what more could you want.

Frontenac Hearing Clinic will work with you to assure that you are satisfied with both your hearing aid and making sure the fit is perfect. If you haven't tried hearing aids within the last couple years; you should, technology has changed so much and older hearing aids seem like they were made in the Stone age. Smart sound recognition to turn down annoying background sounds, Bluetooth, sound location ... Trust me, they are way better !!

My mother, father, brother and myself have all used the services of Frontenac Hearing and have found the service to be friendly and courteous. They take the time to perform a good hearing test to assess the customer's needs and then suggest several options for the proper aid device. In all cases we felt they treated us fairly and in a highly professional manner. I would recommend Frontenac Hearing Clinic to anyone wishing a hearing test (which is always free), good advice and hearing aid sales/service.
