My 90 year old mother purchased hearing aids for approximately $5000 at this location 4 years ago, along with a 3 year service package. She went back after a month with the supplied cleaning kit and asked to be shown how to use it. She was told to "read the instructions". As she turned to leave a fellow customer pointed out that she had been given the wrong kit for her type of hearing aids (behind the ear vs. in ear). The kit was exchanged with no apology. Approximately 18 months ago she went in to say there had been a significant change in the effectiveness of the hearing aids and she was having considerable trouble hearing. She was told that since she was not due for a hearing test, and a physical examination of the aids showed no issue, she would need to come back when the four years was up and have her hearing tested then. I drove 3 hours to take her to the appointment to have her hearing tested at the 4 year mark. The audiologist did not introduce herself, tested my mothers hearing, and then suggested she try new hearing aids for 3 months (and approximately $5000) to see if she liked them any better than her current ones. I asked to see her previous hearing test and we all agreed there had been very little change. I said we would not be purchasing new hearing aids, but would like to know why the current ones weren't working as they should when her hearing had hardly changed. We were told that the hearing aids could be linked to a computer which would check all their functions and ranges...for a fee of $140...each. After this was completed my mother could not believe how well she could hear. I asked my mother if this procedure had been done when she went in to complain about the significant change in the quality of her hearing, and while she was under the three year service plan. She said it had not. I questioned the audiologist as to why my mother had never been offered this service when it would have been covered under her plan. When she was unable to answer my questions I gave her my home and cell numbers and asked her to have the president of the company call me. That was 18 days ago and I have still not had the courtesy of a phone call to explain the shoddy treatment and service my mother received.

The audiologist there is very knowledgeable and kind. I purchased hearing aids there and I didn't have to spend a fortune. The hearing aids actually work. The audiologist there was very thorough. I learned that if you wait too long to get hearing aids that they might not provide the benefit you need.

I arrived late for my appointment, and they still took me in and treated me immediately. No blame or shame - very professional. Logical explanations of the tests they were doing and what part of the ear was being tested at each stage of the test.

When I first walked through the door of Auburn Hearing Centre, I was greeted by smiling, friendly staff. The audiologist who assessed me explained each step of the process in an easily understandable way. After my hearing aid arrived, the staff was extremely thorough in explaining it's use and care. I have no hesitation in recommending Auburn to family and friends.

When I first booked my hearing test at this clinic, I was a bit nervous of what to expect. I had been to another local clinic (not naming names) in the area before, and my experience with them was far from great. This other clinic gave me a hearing test and concluded that I had a hearing loss, then rushed me to make a decision, didn't fully answer my questions, and left me more confused about my hearing loss options. So you can image my doubt and scepticism about trying out a new clinic, but I'm glad I made that choice. At Mountain Hearing I was greeting by a lovely young lady who made me feel welcomed and appreciated, then when I meet the audiologist I was pleasantly surprised at the level of professionalism and appreciation for my hearing difficulties. My hearing loss was fully explained to me, I was not rushed, and they worked with me to find a solution for my hearing loss. I believe they went above and beyond for me, and for me that means a lot! Thank you to everyone at Mountain Hearing, and keep up the great work!
