ILA has very helpful customer service and terrific products. I found some excellent magnifiers for my mother.

BUYER BEWARE! BUYER BEWARE! BUYER BEWARE! BUYER BEWARE! BUYER BEWARE! This company is absolutely horrible! My wife's grandmother has macular degeneration and needed to get a floor light to keep by her chair so she can read the paper and do her crossword puzzles. They found this company, and had the worst experience you could ever imagine. They pay $180 for this light, it shows up poorly packaged and after just 1 hour of use it craps out. Thinking it could have been the light bulb, they tried to purchase one at a hardware store, but couldn't, so they called the company and they sent them two bulbs, guess what. Not the bulbs! The whole lamp is shot. She calls to return it and initially they tell her to package it up and send it back. Then the next day they call her and say no it's damaged goods we don't want it, you can't return it. They ask for a manager and the manager tells them the same thing. They take advantage of the elderly and handicapped just to make a dollar. I'm not one to go online and write bad reviews, but they had my wife's elderly grandmother so worked up and took such advantage of her and basically just wants her to eat $180 for something that they should be more than happy to return. Their return policy on their website states 60 Days if the product is not satisfactory, it doesn't even say broken, it says if it's not satisfactory. Yet they won't return something that is broken. Come on. Especially since they had the light less than 7 days! Not to mention my wife's grandmother is a widow and she doesn't have $180 to just waste on something she needs for a medical condition. Unacceptable!

Amazingly terrible ! Makes one wonder how they manage to even stay in business! I ordered 2 products on line, for my blind partner - one being a talking watch. I place the order - then a few days later received a call that that particular model is backordered. The salesperson asked us if we wouldn't mind a different model - Sure...that's fine with us. Got the watch, Everything was fine till the watch craps out - just stopped working after a smidge over one month. I just called, and asked what's their return policy. The pleasant gal that answered inquired as to what was wrong - my partner explained - no sound. then when I looked - no digital display. OK. They are going to send a replacement - but the watch(s) are on back-order - so - it won't go out till mid January - basically - another month! You really have to ask - How does a company stay in business is something simple like a talking watch is not in stock. ( probably the watches are such cheap china crap ) No wonder Amazon is doing so well!
