If your hearing is suspect go and see Mark Baker. He has a couple of great attributes - low pressure and knows his stuff. Mark will fix your hearing problem.

I recognized a few years ago that my hearing was going in my mid 50's. Last year my daughter came home from work with a coupon for a free hearing screening to Audiology and Hearing Aid Center. I went in March 2016 for a baseline. Sure enough, my left ear was showing some loss of range. I was not surprised. My right ear was not as bad. At the beginning of this year I felt my hearing loss was greater. There had been a significant drop in both ears. Closed captioning on the TV wasn't enough. I was cupping my hands around my ears to try and hear better. My husband was turning up the stereo too to try and help. It was time. Hearing loss can lead to depression, or in my case, make it worse. It leads to less social interaction because you can't hear the conversations, so why bother participating. This is not the way to lead a life. My daughter would tell me to turn down the audio on my computer because it was too loud. I couldn't tell. I would be told I was shouting. I didn't realize it. (*This can also be an early sign of short term memory loss, a component of dementia.) I went back to get my hearing checked on June 22, 2017. Both of my ears had lost more range. Enough so that I took action and immediately ordered my new hearing aids the same day. They arrived the following Monday. I love the staff here. All of my questions were answered over the weekend. Mark is my audio person there. He texted back and forth with me all weekend answering my questions. We both went back and forth to the website of the brand I had chosen to look up details on the model I had chosen. That Monday afternoon after Mark got me all set up and I had my new hearing aids in I went home to feed my dogs. I stepped outside and for the first time in quite some time I realized that there was a breeze blowing through the leaves above my head and I could hear it. The volume controls have been lowered on all of my devices. The dogs are barking way to loud. I can hear my daughter from her bedroom. I can talk to my family in a restaurant. If it is a little difficult I can turn the volume up on the microphones, I can block out the backward facing microphones. If it's too loud, I can lower the volume. I purchased aids that have bluetooth. I can use my iPad and watch what I want without grabbing a pair of headphones. I can check the battery charge, I can change the settings. I also added in the rechargeable unit. I just put the hearing aids in the base at night. I don't have to deal with replacing and throwing out hundreds of batteries, but, if the rechargeable batteries run out and I'm away from the base, I can carry along a spare set of disposables to use. Thank you Mark and Kelly for all of your help. It's always nice to hear from you.
