I would Highly recommend Bloom hearing Center to anyone I know- they are professional, courteous and friendly. Christina and Marisa are wonderful and are always willing to go above and beyond for their patients. I personally go to them, as well as all of my family and If I could rate Higher than 5 stars I would.

As the provider for Bloom Hearing Aid Center and a Mother of multiple Children with Hearing loss, I can honestly say that I enjoy caring for each and every patient as if they are family. I recommend anyone to come in to the Grass Valley Location and see for yourself.

November 19, 2015 I was given a hearing test of which the results were 35% hearing loss. I was then taken to another room with a “closer” who tried his damndest to sign me up. He set me up with hearing aids that were computer tuned. Just before he placed them in my ears I scratched my pants with my thumb nail. After placing and tuning these hearing aids I again scratched my pants and guess what? NO difference. He indicated that I might not tell the difference. He also explained that the $745 hearing aids would not let me hear any better plus way too much background noise. I asked him whether or not my insurance, Medicare and Medi-Cal would cover and he said NO. He then set up a payment plan for 18 payments a year with 9.9% interest calculating and adding the interest. My take on that was that I would commit to the hearing aid total plus the interest from the onset. I think the interest rate charged is to keep it from being usury. I then made an appointment with Gold Country Hearing, also in Grass Valley and was seen by a doctor. She tested my hearing and told me my loss was at 13% (a far cry less than McDonald at 35%. She said at this time I do NOT need hearing aids as they wouldn’t really make a difference (note comment above). She also indicated that when and if my hearing loss gets to 35%, that my insurance WOULD cover the hearing aids.
