I have been a hearing aid user for 20 years. I have also been involved in the hearing assistance business for many years as well. As a result, I have had many opportunities to interact with many different audiologists throughout N. CA and Nevada County over this time period. In short I feel I am probably more qualified to give a legitimate rating for an audiologist practice then most. As such, I can tell you that Sol Barros of Audiology Associates is by far the most professional, caring, and interactive audiologist I have ever had. Truly a person who is looking for the best way to accommodate a client regarding their hearing needs and not just trying to make a sale of an expensive hearing device to satisfy their own pocket book. For those who have stated otherwise in this rating forum, you have no idea of the difference between a good audiologist and a bad one. You are only looking at the bottom line and when that is not met, you defame. Shame on you and hooray for Sol Barros!

took me when she wasn't scheduled to be in office, answered all my questions, and was willing to work with me to get the billing resolved. Lovely service.

My grandfather went to visit Sol Barros at Audiology Associates Hearing Center in Grass Valley. And they’ve been thoroughly scammed by this woman. My grandfather came to visit her from another hearing aid company in town and this lady fitted him with hearing aids that after her 45 day guarantee gave my grandfather an abrasion in his ear. They refused to get the fitted properly and refused to refund any money because the guarantee period had expired. They feel they have been overcharged for the services provided and there’s an office visit charge for each adjustment which other companies do not charge. He was only able to wear these for less than a year and a half because they didn’t fit right and fell out of his ears. This product is supposed to last for at least 4 years and they were not able to get half of the use out of this over five thousand dollar investment to make someone’s life just that much easier. They had to leave this company in November 2017 and go back to their original company just to get a product that would not harm his body. This woman improperly accused him of company hopping and refused any sort of reimbursement for the pain and lack of sufficient service from this company. I would think anyone in the the healthcare industry would want to help the people they service rather than putting them through unnecessary pain and then refusing to help correct the problem. I would advise anyone looking for a good company to receive decent service from to avoid this company and Sol Barros at all costs.
