Outstand service and support for my elderly mother. Very patient and understanding

Conveniently located in a beautiful section of the beautiful town of Pittsford, this top quality hearing office gave me an excellent education on my hearing situation and even allowed me to try, risk-free, a pair of hearing aids for a week. Though the time investment of caring echoes at this office, I learned so much to be able to make a properly educated decision about one of my most important health factors; my hearing system (ear + brain). I'm leaving off one star just because I do not yet have an opinion about the long-term follow-up care aspects of the business. I'll revisit this review when that information becomes available.

I found the billing practices of the Pittsford office to be excessive. A repair of my hearing aid was billed to me for $150, but when King was scrolling through the invoices and info on the repair, I saw that the repair cost the practice $75. Pretty steep mark-up for elderly people for sure. Dr. King was personally obnoxious to me. He was very condescending and resented being asked any questions that got into billing. Their office will be relentless in calling you to make an appointment for a hearing test or to have your hearing aid cleaned, both billable visits to insurance companies. I would not recommend this practice to anyone. Perhaps the Clifton Springs or Canandaigua offices are better, but as far as getting a lot of phone calls, that all comes from a central location.
