My service experience with the Consultant Gord Musgrave was excellent!

Had a problem with back-up camera. One call and Gord was on it. Part ordered, flexible on appointment and bang-on estimate to repair. ONe coffee later out the door happy as a clam. Thanks Gord.

This 5star rating and review reflects only Valley VW's service dept. only, but had to add a couple other things. Just moved from BC to NS and required for the vehicle registration a safety check. We always got truly spoiled by VW's dealership in White Rock BC's exceptional and stellar service, a big shoe to fill for any VW dealership in NS. For us the Valley VW was closest and having read past reviews they faired better than the dealership in Dartmouth or Halifax. Well, cannot say anything bad about Gord Musgrave's work in the Service Dept. and his surrounding team, all very courteous, knowledgeable and offered a reliable service. So far so good, but two things to mention anyway. The first one nothing to do with VW's actual service - Tan's Cafe across from VW, for which we had received a coffee voucher from VW - for one cup of coffee only ( yep one cup of free coffee for a couple :-( and their coffee was definitely one of the worst coffee we have had in our entire life ever and their facility definitely needs some serious cleaning. Something to consider for Valley VW, before sending their clients to them for one cup of free coffee. Also their counterparts White Rock VW in BC have a great in-house coffee bar with excellent VanHoutte coffee and customers can treat themselves with as many coffee they want while they wait. Secondly, I knew of course beforehand that VW is not the cheapest brand when it comes to repairs and service, but billing for a simple oil change and 10 point safety check a whopping $186 is outrages. Surely not their service depts fault because them certainly don't make the prices, but something to think about for their management. Because, had on the same day our 2nd car, a 2017 KIA Sorento at the KIA dealership in N.Minas, for exactly the same work - oil change and 10 point safety inspection. their bill was $85 only. Quite a difference for the same job. The price for both safety inspections was almost the same, however VW's price for a simple oil change is unnverving and making me think twice before buying another VW but rather considering another KIA one day down the road.
