My experience at Myers Hyundai Kanata was very disappointing. The negotiation process was a hassle as there was a lot of back and forth between the salesperson and Dave, the Sales Manager, and a lot guilt being thrown our way such as" Cars are not free". We didn't buy it, we stood our ground and I think they should learn to be a bit more respectful, even when there are disagreements. At the end of our first visit with the salesperson, they tried to secure our business by attempting to lower our financing and then as we were about to walk away, they offered a reduction in the price ($1500). As it was our first visit and based on the constant back and forth between the salesperson, other appointments they had and the sales manager. We opted to leave and think things over. After 2 days we tried to get into contact with our salesperson and schedule a meeting. Upon getting there things started off well, they offered to show us the car once more, explained all the car features and then we entered back into the room for a final negotiation. We asked if the lower financing, reduction in price and potentially a set of winter tires could be thrown in the deal. We were prepared to sign. Two of the three requests were offered by the salesperson at the end of our first meeting, the tires were an extra. We figured why not try. The salesperson made us initial on the back of the initial quote and to my surprise, Dave, the Sales Manager, came in essentially said all that was off the table and they wouldn't budge on anything. He started talking about company policy and auditing. He made no real attempt to persuade or even try to secure our business. He was in and out in under 2 minutes. I explained to him that this was offered to us and they had negotiated in bad faith. Dave honestly couldn't care less and just walked back to his desk. This whole experience was one to forget. I would have accepted a "nothing we can do" over the phone, email or text as oppose to having to drive 25 minutes after a long day of work. I've left out a lot but I really didn't want to write a novella. I just wanted to explain my experience and hopefully prepare the next individual who chooses to walk in there. The front staff who greeted us were very nice however.

Tom Nash was an outstanding salesman at Myers. Super knowledgeable, calm and not pushy. Both my wife and I were very comfortable with him and his manager David Teather.

The sales consultant we had was amazing! If you're looking for someone who will really listen to your needs and answer all your questions, ask for GEORGE GRIMES at this dealership! He's great! My husband and I were really pleased with the service we got from him. BUT try to avoid Roy, the financial guy. He's really pushy and we didn't appreciate his way of promoting the extended warranty to us. George Grimes is great though!!!
