If your looking for an honest dealership to spend your hard earned money on then steer clear of this one. I recently purchased what I thought would be a great pre-owned SUV for my growing family from Autosport. When I went to look at the SUV it was raining out, so I did my best to look it over and took it for a test drive. All seemed well enough and the Sales Manager told me that there was no damage to the SUV and all was in perfect working order. So I decided to trade in my Jeep and make the purchase, I was told that it would be about week until the vehicle would be ready as they had to wait for my new tires to come in, and go over everything with SUV to ensure it was in top shape. When the day came to pick it up i was very excited and once agin assured by the Sales Manager that all was perfect. When the weather turned and it was finally nice out a few days after I got the SUV, unfortunately now I could see some of the damages that I was told did not exist such as a broken rear spoiler, and a large stone chip in the windshield that I did not notice due to the rain when I took it for a test drive and picked it up. Next I went to turn on the AC only to find out that was broken as well. I then opened the hood to see if I could find the problem and noticed all essential operating fluids were extremely low as well. Now to top it all off I went to look at the cabin air filter only to find a dead mouse carcass and what looked like years of debris stuck in there. This really angered me as the Sales Manager was aware the I have a baby and wife whom suffers from an immune disorder, and they had been breathing in a rotting carcass and years of debris. This was all after I was told that everything had been cleaned and replaced and was ready to go.
I called the Sales Manager to inform him of all the problems and question him as to why he mislead me and put my wife and my babies health at risk. Firstly he stated that it is not their job to replace filters and showed little to no concern about the air myself and my family were breathing in. Next he noted that the broken rear spoiler was only cosmetic damage so apparently to him that doesn’t count as damage. Now I am looking at $1000 to replace it, because once again not there problem. Lastly the windshield stone chip I had to pay out of my own pocket because surprise, surprise again not their problem.
The Sales Manager acted like he did nothing wrong and his attitude can only be described as despicable. Clearly he feels that this is just an acceptable way of doing business when your spending $30K at their dealership.
My AC has since been fixed and filters replaced by them, however no spoiler and no new windshield. I gave them the chance to do the right thing and give me what I paid for nothing more, however the Sales Manager who clearly does not care about customer service, well being, word of mouth, or repeat business did not want to do so.
My advice, spend your money elsewhere because you don’t what your getting at Autosport and the Sales Manager well tell you whatever you want to hear to get your money.
