I bought a vehicle from here 3 months ago and the initial purchasing process was quick. As soon as I picked up my car I was promised I would be sent some essential documents because they didn't have them ready when I picked up my car. Over the last 3+ months I have had to continuously reach out to them for updates on where my missing documents are. The sales rep and sales manager have stopped responding all together. Similar to other reviews here, the after purchase service is terrible and almost non-existent.

I really did not want to leave this review. Was hoping my first service experience would make up for my poor purchase experience. Unfortunately, it just reaffirmed my previous impression. When I bought my vehicle in May, the salesperson was lovely and helpful, and the only reason I’m giving two stars instead of one. The process of financing and picking up the vehicle after agreeing to purchase it was frustrating. Was told repeatedly that this or that thing would be done by a certain time, and they consistently were not. I was on a timeline and coming from Windsor, and was scheduling my workdays around these promises. Having to follow up multiple times on things not done when I was told they would be was very disruptive and I had to repeatedly rearrange my schedule. I spoke to the manager who assured me that the issue would be addressed, and my salesperson encouraged me to come back for service because that’s where they “really shine.” Flash forward four months and there is something wrong with the engine of my brand new Volvo. I called for service. The receptionist seemed flustered and stressed. She took details of my issue and had the service department call me back. However, the details I had given the receptionist were not provided to the service department and I had to repeat them all over again. Not a big deal, except the person calling me felt the need to explain to me that reception is “just reception” and only arranges return calls. They don’t take detailed messages. Rather than apologizing for the inconvenience, she subjected me to a long explanation of this in a tone that suggested it was unreasonable of me to expect that they would have taken two extra seconds to ensure that I didn’t have to repeat myself. Not to mention the fact that the soonest they can look at my engine issue (which is causing me to have to pull over and restart my car repeatedly) is 11 days from now. The reason I bought this vehicle at this dealership is that I have a busy work schedule and was expecting impeccable service that would save me time and stress. You might be purchasing a luxury vehicle here, but don’t expect anything even remotely close to luxury service. Volvo of London, your receptionists just cost you a customer who is planning to drive Volvos for life. Judging by some of the other reviews here, probably quite a few customers. I would suggest to management that they implement a secret shopper program to evaluate the customer experience in all departments, because the service this team thinks they provide and the service they actually provide are light years apart.

I can't say enough about the team at Volvo- from the very beginning they made us feel welcome and comfortable throughout our decision process. Everyone was knowledgeable, professional and helpful. It was also the easiest, pain free car purchase we've ever done. Highly recommend them!

I had paint issue on the rear door of the passenger side. The vehicle was only two (2) years old with very low kilometers. Volvo Canada reacted to this issue very quickly and committed to repairing the paint issue. The service staff at Volvo London were vey accommodating in arranging for the vehicle to go to a very reputable body shop. Also, they arranged for a replacement vehicle while the vehicle was at the body shop. Very special thanks, to Ruth, Brad and Tanya (I believe that is her name). Anyhow, thanks to all folks at Service London, very much appreciated!

I posted a review a few months ago about the mysterious recovery of the malfunction of my Volvo XC 90's brakes, but nobody from the workshop told me what caused it. It can not happen with no reason! My car broke down on highway 401 right after the replacement of the whole brake system, but it mysteriously recovered after the car was towed back to the workshop. It is so ridiculous I have to assume the car's brakes possess the magic self-healing power. As a customer, I do not want to be fooled. If you are going to face the similar issue, I suggest you go to the third party workshop to keep the so called evidence and then go back to Volvo London workshop for repair. After I posted this review, I found the old one I posted disappeared. Looks like I can not post multiple reviews, so I briefly explain what happened here again. According to the recommendation of Volvo Cars London (Ontario), the whole brake system of our car was replaced at their workshop on April 10 2018. After driving back home, we found the parking brake did not work. I sent an email to the workshop and requested to get the problem fixed on April 11th since we are going to travel on April 12. We sent the car back to the workshop and the park brake was readjusted to fix this problem. In the morning of April 12, we drove about 20 minutes in the city of London and then entered highway 401. After driving about 10 km on the highway, we heard some strange noises and felt the car vibrating violently like driving on a very bumpy road. We pulled over our car at a parking lot at the exit 203 of highway 401. I realized some burning smell coming out from the right rear wheel. I attempted to use my finger to touch the right rear disc and found it was super hot to burn my finger. However, the other three discs are just gently warm and I can put my fingers on them without any un-comfortability. I called Volvo London and requested to talk with the service department manager. I described the problem to him and confirmed with him that this phenomenon was not normal. He suggested me to call roadside assistance to tow my car back to the workshop. After my car was towed back, they promised me to check it and sent me back home. In the late afternoon, they sent my car back home and an invoice report as well. I could not find any cause for the problem from the invoice report and I also confirmed with the workshop through email that there was nothing wrong with their workmanship. I also confirmed with Customer relations of Volvo Canada that the parts consumed on my car were defect free. The mystery is what caused the malfunction of the car's brakes? Is the replacement of brakes a one-time or multi-time labor?
