I recently purchased a vehicle from Collector Car Auctions and Dan went above and beyond help me with my purchase. Dan answered all my questions quickly. Dan is very professional in how he operates the auctions. Can't wait for the spring auction 2019.

We've bought three, sold one and always have GREAT FUN! every time we go, whether we buy anything or not. There is a diverse selection and a great opportunity to really look over the cars carefully. Remember - This is an auction so not for the feint of heart, finance or knowledge. Never overlook the fundamental business model of every auction is get a maximum number of the vehicles put through that sell, sell sell! If you're a buyer you really need to keep your wits about you. If you do, you can, and most likely WILL do very well! It really helps if you know your cars, and set a barrier at how much you're prepared to pay and how much you're willing to lose it for. Many opportunities are present, but only for an instant, then they're someone else's, for better or for worse! Here's my final tip ESPECIALLY if buying a late model vehicle: Do your due diligence IN ADVANCE. Check the car out on the floor, then search the vehicle's online history before it goes on the block. If you still like it, buy only if you're still at half the value of a similar car at resale. Many people get caught up with a vehicles car's present retail value and that usually has nothing to do with the resale market, specially at auction. Finally, remember to ask that almighty question - why is it being sold here??? Sometimes you can do very, very well. Other times not so much. Be ready for both, and most of all - HAVE FUN!!!

Just sold a car at the Toronto auction this past weekend. Not a surprise why these guys are getting smaller year after year with less support from consignors and buyers. The auctioneer's assistant kept pressuring me to drop my reserve as soon as the bidding started, while totally ignoring my request to see where the bidding was going. Once I agreed to lower the reserve, the hammer was dropped immediately without further effort to work the two bidders whom were trying to buy my vehicle. I feel there was still several thousand dollars left on the table. I found it interesting how a late model mini van with rust perforations right through it seemed to get so much time and energy to just get up to $200? After trying to call the office several times, there was no courtesy of a return phone call to discuss. Want to sell your classic car, then take my advice, these are not the guys to work with.

A glorified automotive junk yard sale. A disgrace to all involved in the collector car hobby. These guys only care about themselves and their bottom line. Bought a vehicle at the 2016 fall classic car auction, my 2nd purchase and my 2nd disappointment. I have friends who have had similar issues with the level of integrity and disclosure. A "restored vehicle" turned out having messed up wiring, leaking fuel tank, inoperable windows, no dash lights, leaf spring issues, no horn, fluids as thick as mud, and the list goes on. We did have fun and appreciated the work involved to put on the event. Too bad that these guys could not have a little bit of love for their customers and behave as a professional business should, with honesty.
