Seven years ago we were in the market for a new vehicle and my wife and I did our due diligence, spending hours researching cars online and test driving. We look at the whole engagement of the vehicle purchasing experience, which means we care a great deal about how the dealership engages us, not just the vehicle itself. We felt the best car for our wants and needs at that time was a 2010 Hyundai Elantra Touring Sport GLS. The experience of dealing with the sales staff was excellent. Very easy going, no pressure, very accommodating. So we purchased the Elantra and entered into an ongoing relationship with Glen Fenwick and his team at Fenwick Motors. Our experience throughout our visits for service were excellent. Very professional and helpful. So much so, that we decided to bring our 2007 Dodge Caravan there for all mechanical maintenance and repairs ( other than tires and brakes ). This November, we were looking at another purchase. Now, I'm not one to be brand loyal, especially for cars as a lot can change in 7 years, so back I went on a 50 hour research project, scouring the internet for reviews, tests and comparisons of mid-sized sedans and SUV's. We decided that the SUV was going to be our next purchase and we looked at all the competition ( except Chrysler and GM...not a fan ). Between the various online reviews scoring the Hyundai Sante Fe as one of the best mid-sized SUV's, it was further confirmation for us that Consumer Reports named it as THE best mid-sized SUV and JD Power and Associations named it most reliable in it's class ( based upon customer feedback from the 2014 models, so after 3 years of use ). We did test drive many other vehicles and although it ended up being a very close decision for us between the Sante Fe and the Kia Sorento, the one thing that stood out to us was our experience at Fenwick Motors dealership. We were waffling between new and used and came across a demo at the Mississauga dealership. We were prepared to drive down there and buy it, but we wanted to give Fenwick the opportunity to give us a purchase we couldn't pass up...and they did! My wife has wanted a Sante Fe for years and she normally drives this vehicle. She has never wanted nor enjoyed a vehicle as much as this. I am thrilled on her behalf, but make no mistake, I really like this vehicle also. It has all the features we wanted, smooth, quiet ride, very spacious for people and stuff and we love the appearance inside and out. The colour we went with ( Marlin Blue, a blue-grey colour ) for discontinued for the 2018 model year, further emphasizing our appreciation for the exact vehicle we were able to find. Even with looking into most options out there and spending a lot of time in research, we landed back where we were and we're pleased with that. Glen and his team are awesome people and I hope they continue to enjoy the success and then some, that they have enjoyed thus far. Jim, David, George, Tara, Jeremy have all been staff who have made our visits there a great experience. Keep up the good work!
