@Jo Soetemans (and husband) As the technician in question, I tried to step back and leave things alone but clearly you are angry and trying to let everyone know about it. I believe your story lacks many critical details but I’m not here to debate that. While I regret losing my cool with Jo’s husband, he had no right to be rude to us and call me a liar. I don’t know what communication transpired between my employer and yourself since I wasn’t part of that conversation, so I can’t speak to that here. I am always polite and professional to all customers – unless they become arrogant and rude. And when they call me a liar – well, that’s a customer I don’t need. The problem with Google is that you can say any story you want and people will read it and regard it as true. My track record speaks for itself. I am very good at what I do. If you read the Google reviews, you will find very few negative comments about my service work. I wish you could speak to the many people, whose vehicles I service, who are not here on Google. As a small-town repair facility, we are also a small business meaning that I am juggling 10-12 customers each day with only one other staff member to assist. There are some days it is challenging to complete all the work and last Friday was one of those days. I am sorry for your experience, but I think you will find the quality of work we were able to complete very good. If you truly want to resolve this instead of spouting off on the internet – come and see me. 22440 Adelaide Rd, M-F. 8-5.

Bad experience from the start, my husband made a appointment with the owner for Thursday. Dropped off the truck 8am Thursday, was told by the mechanic that the appointment was not until Friday, but he did leave the truck there. Walked by Friday at 10am and his truck was still sitting in the spot where he parked it the day before. Went by again at 11:30am and it was finally up on the hoist. Phoned at 2:30pm to check on progress and was told they had worked on it for 6 hours and it still wasn't even half done. (10am to 2:30 is not 6 hours) He picked it up at 4:30 Friday and only half the job was completed, and was told by both the mechanic and owners son that he would be charged for 6 hours labour. When he pointed out that was impossible since we saw the truck sitting outside, both the owner and mechanic argued with him, the mechanic then said "if you don't like it don't come back", then walked into the garage. When my husband pointed out to the owner a mechanic shouldn't speak to paying customers that way his response was "it's really hard to find a good mechanic nowadays" The owners son tried a few different tactics to justify the hours such as the truck we saw wasn't his and his truck was actually on the hoist at the time. They claimed they had worked on it Thursday for 2 hrs., took it all apart, (wheel assembly and suspension), even though they said every nut and bolt was siezed, then they put it all back together just so they could park it outside for the night, just to start all over again the next day and then tried charging him an exta 2 hours labour?. In total his truck was there for a total of 2 full days to install 2 bushings on 1 control arm when it was supposed to be 4 on 2 control arms, only half the job was completed. After much arguing he left paying for 4 hours labour, $452.00, and his truck only half done. Jo's husband. Your reply was B.S. You admitted you didn't work on it for 6 hrs. but still tried charging me for 6 hrs. So what you were saying was, you expected to be paid in full before you even finish the work?, which would have been 5 days later, are you serious,? W.t.h., what other garage does that?. This is exactly why you have the lowest ratings out of ALL the garages in Mt. Brydges, and your Bad reviews speak for themselves. I, myself replaced all of the upper control arm bushings 2 days prior to bringing it to you, in my own garage, using simple hand tools, a socket set and a breaker bar and I didn't have one siezed bolt or nut due to the fact my truck has been undercoated for the last 18 yrs. with Krown undercoating every year. Suddenly You get my truck and every bolt and nut you come across is siezed, and they "fought you the entire way?," these are YOUR words."..., I'm calling B.S. This is just another excuse to soak your customers for more $. I've never heard of any garage taking a full day and a half to replace only 2 bushings. I replaced all 4 of mine in the upper control arms in aprox 6 hrs. The bolt on the lower contol arm was also reinstalled backwards, jamming against the sway bar, giving you no room to use a socket and breaker bar. Your son and your mechanic were very unprofessional. They lied to me and were very condescending, having no respect. You'll never get a recommendation from me or see another nickel of my hard earned money.

The car they sold us was a complete p.o.s. The amount of work we have had to have done since purchasing our vehicle is wild - the issues started with a week of purchase date and continued consistantly for months. Add in the absolutely atrocious customer service and we would never return or recommend. Responding to the owners comment here because I would not waste time creating a new response to them: My husband purchased the vehicle which is why you cannot find my name in your records. I stand by my original comment - horrible cars, even worse service. 🚩🚩DO NOT RECOMMEND🚩🚩

Purchased my 2012 Fiat 500 Abarth here. Owner held onto the car with deposit for over a month while I sorted out the finances for the car, something I could not nor would have expected anyone in the business to do. Over and above what is expected. Finances sorted, finished the transaction, brought the car home. Incredibly pleasant to deal with. Some months down the road, the car developed some issues, such as reverse lights staying on, and required a switch to be replaced deep down near the transmission, as well as a electronic hatch release in the rear - contacted Pilkey’s, they repaired at no cost to me. I will continue to visit them and their repair shop as I view them as both dependable and trustworthy. Highly recommend.

Sold me a nice looking classic truck but what a p.o.s. both the father and son are rip off artists. The emgine was garbage, the gront suspension and steering is downright dangerous, the rear end is pieced together from different parts from different vehicles. I could go on and on but I'm going to say....if your looking for a classic...go elsewhere Pilkey is not a good dealership.
