Review of my experience at Lakeshore Honda when I bought my used Honda Civic , Sept 15, 2018. Good experiences; I was tipped that the car which met my specifics was coming in and given first chance to see it. Staff were friendly. Premises clean and pleasant. When car was ready for delivery it was fully cleaned, touched up, fully serviced, new mats, full tank of gas and discount on future maintenance. Areas to improve: paper work left much to be desired by everyone involved. Not presented in a timely fashion so I could have all the facts before negotiations began, and when paperwork was presented to me it was not complete when I left with the car. Corrected subsequently at my request. Car was not clean when I viewed it so not all defects were easily visible nor mentioned. Kent Swain was my salesman. You have so much going for you so make the customers' experiences all good and upfront. Buying a car is stressful enough so a smooth experience lasts in one's memory. Buyers: do your homework and be on your toes at all times.

The customer service hospitality is declining here. Everyone seems to be in a bad mood most of the time. There's no sense of helping out the customer, it's more like great another dummy is here. If you are purchasing a car then you will get the best customer service they're capable of, but when you call them to set up an appointment or cancel one; They will hang up the phone on you multiple times disguising as if they are busy. One time I waited 30 mins for them to pick up the phone. The actual servicing of the vehicle is not bad, they do a good job of it and provide to the point reports on the vehicle. They have to work with customer relations and treating the customers well. I understand that it's hard to stay positive and in a good mood all the time but at least try not to vent your frustrations on the customers through the call. For the people working in customer service, maybe take notes from other dealership. This is a criticism to improve your dealership.

I purchased a pre-owned 2014 Civic earlier this month for commuting daily, there are no flaws to pick out. The receptionist was very friendly and attentive. The sales consultant I spoke with, Johan was knowledgeable, disclosed all the details that I needed to know and really easy to work with. I initially pushed for a strong offer and the sales manager Yuri was able to provide a nice middle ground offer. Chris easily walked me through and gave me a conclusive purchase option at the end. I definitely recommend.

I attended Lakeshore Honda on Saturday October 20 with an 08:15 am service appointment for an oil change. When I arrived at 08:10 the service representative was polite and indicated that the service would take under an hour and that he would call once it was done. At 10:00 am I returned to the service lot to see if there was any update as I hadn’t received a call. I found my car sitting in the exact parking spot I left it in and not yet serviced by anyone. When I approached the service desk the representative was again polite and advised that due to a staff shortage the vehicle had not been serviced but was at the top of their list. The gentleman then advised that Honda could provide a rental car through their partnership with Choice Car Rental so that I could attend an 11:00 am meeting. When I attended the adjacent desk for this rental and after providing my insurance and credit card details the representative brought me a white older model Honda Civic with obvious signs of exterior damage. I was hesitant to continue with the process but the individual assured me all signs of damage would be noted. After doing a very brief walk around of the vehicle the individual handed me the paper work and opened the driver side door where I observed mud and food remains on both the driver and passenger side seats. I asked if he had another vehicle given this one was clearly dirty and not in presentable shape. He was rude and abrupt and stated that the vehicle is a service vehicle and that I wasn’t paying for it therefore this was all they could provide. I refused to take the car and attended the service desk once more. The rep again was polite and reasoned with me and I indicated that all I wanted at this point was for him to ensure my vehicle would be next to be serviced. As I write this at 10:45 am in the service waiting area I observe several clients leave with their vehicles as I continue to wait for my routine oil change. Given Honda’s customer service line is open Mon-Fri I have no way to contact someone to solve this issue. This has been a horrible customer service experience and will deter me from ever using this service station again or buying with Honda in the future.

Edit: Email was sent, no response whatsoever until now. Extremely unprofessional staff. Leased a Civic a couple of weeks ago and it's been a nightmare every time I try to get hold of their sales/service reps. They delivered my car without window tint installed after numerous calls trying to agree on a date. After the issue was sorted, I discovered that they overcharged me for the winter tires package ($1400 before tax for 16" Michelin tires + wheels) and on top of that, my car had a missing emergency trunk release cover after the window tint + tires were installed. I've been trying to get hold of them ever since without any luck. Time to escalate the matter with Honda again!
