Beware

In late June 2019 I went to Groupe auto Badaan in search of a replacement for a car that was no longer roadworthy. I met Dario on a Thursday as I was car shopping and he was quick to show me around to a few cars within my budget. After browsing I found a 2007 Audi A3 The car would need to pass Quebec's safety inspection before it could be plated and Dario made me aware that the car needed some suspension work in order to pass the inspection at their cost. I agreed and asked him to make sure the car was mechanically ready for delivery as soon as he could. Dario was quick to promise me that the car would be ready for Friday one week from the day I purchased the car. I agreed to this and made it known that I would be paying for a rental in the meantime. I payed the car in full the very same day in good faith to Dario. I did not hear anything from Dario for the whole week and so I expected the car would definitely be ready for pick up on that Friday. I had to call Dario myself on Friday to

I had to call Dario myself on Friday to let him know I would be picking up the car at the end of the day and this is when he decided to tell me that the car would not be ready as they ran into some delays. He assured once again that the car would be ready at the latest the following Tuesday. I accepted once again and prolonged my rental agreement. When that Tuesday came around, I showed up to their garage at the end of the day to pick up the car only to be told the car was still not ready. It took a total of two weeks for me to receive the vehicle only to find out that they had not fixed the AC as promised, the car was unaligned after they changed out a strut/spring and the car had some detonation issues. Come to find out the gas they had put into this turbo engine was 87 octane which caused feedback knock issues and misfiring, this resolved after putting 91 or higher octane into the vehicle. I made Dario aware the AC was not working, the car needed and alignment, the reverse lights were not working along with some brake lights, I was missing a read headrest and I wanted him to look at the left front wheel bearing as I suspected the noise it was making was announcing its inevitable failure. In good faith once again I left my car with Dario for the entirety of the day 8am-5pm only to come back and find out that they had not fixed any of the issues and they had just started to diagnose a reverse light problem. He told me to go get an alignment and he would reimburse me, which he thankfully did, but told me to come back for the AC as he was not sure what the problem was yet and needed more time to investigate. I would bring the car back the following week for him to keep for one day. I was able to diagnose the AC problem myself by doing 30 minutes of research. I passed the diagnosis to Dario and his garage was able to order the part and finally get my AC fixed. I didn't even bother to talk to him about my bearing/hub or the lighting issues of the car because at this point I was fed up with the lack of priority to fix my car and the lack of knowledge of their garage. I figured I would just suck it up and fix the issues myself. Today I was able to take time to fix the vehicle I changed a front left hub assembly as the old one was at critical failure and I replaced the rear lights that were not functioning. The rear lights were not working because the garage decided to put any random number bulb in the sockets...I guess they wanted to cut costs and used whichever old bulbs were laying around. I changed out 5 bulbs in the rear that were not the right socket size. Overall I think they're there to make money and I can understand that from any business point of view that's the ultimate goal but they're cutting corners to lower costs and they have no regard for customer service. I change vehicles every 2-3 years and I will not be returning to Groupe auto Badaan. Poten repairs and lack of mechanical knowledge from the team. potential buyers beware of empty promises, cost cutting, rounded corners in their

Came in to explore my options for an entry level vehicle. Frank (the owner) was very accommodating and completely pressure free. Didn’t end up buying a car but I would recommend this store to anyone! Very welcoming and friendly service!

Great service and excellent prices. I felt like I was part of the family purchasing my car from Group Auto Badaan. We enjoyed it so much we told out friends and they also purchased a new vehicle from them.

I had a very good car buying experience all questions were answered and they went above and beyond to satisfy my needs to reach a deal that was competitive to major dealers .So I would recommend anyone looking for a used vehicle to check out their inventory and drop by to speak to the staff

Purchased a 2014 Subaru BRZ off these guys. Overall it was a very pleasant experience. Every car sold has a 30 day comprehensive warranty which is a huge bonus. It's a short drive from Ottawa so I recommend coming here for exceptional deals.
