I was sent to these guys for a Class 1 Evaluation from the hiring company, the examiner whose name starts with "G" only gave negative comments to the company and not the positive comments, so let me detail the positive comments: 1: I didn't go fast over the pot holes out of their testing yard, or going in to the yard. 2: Did the pre trip & in cab inspection accordingly. 3: While making the left turn on 92 Ave out of their testing yard I saw the guy on the bicycle as the trees were at his height, couldn't see him from far but made sure he crossed safely and then I took a turn. 4: made sure none of the vehicles or trucks ran into our truck ( 2 truck drivers were not paying attention at all as they were listening to music on their headphones. 5: Shifted gears as per the conditions on the road. there were times when I had a split second decision to make: would u down shift 3 gears or apply brakes to save your life? "G" only cared about down shifting. 6: Constantly monitored road conditions and informed the examiner. 7: Was able to back in and park the truck in a perfect spot with the wheel blocks in place along with landing gear pads etc.

I had my class 1 and driving in the oilfield for two years and came to this Capilano just to do driving evaluation for hiring company. The person ( I will add his name) who did the evaluation was unfair and aggressive !! He mentioned that I ran over curbs and hit tree ! But the fact that I ran over only one curb and didn’t hit a “ tree “ as he mentioned to the hiring company in the evaluation!!!, it was the bumper touched the tree twigs while backing up in the yard. He only mentioned the negative points! While I am driving and came through very confusing lanes and I did it right ,he admitted that during his all evaluations / trainings that I am the only driver who came to the right lane with no mistake. Also I didn’t realize that under hood is included in the evaluation so I missed, he didn’t even ask me if I know how to do it ? He just kept quit and dealt with it as it is class 1 actual road test and not “ driving evaluation for hiring! Is this fair?!!

I did my air brakes yesterday, and these guys are really great. My class instructor was John P he made it fun, and not boring. Then I was tested by Jeff H, another great instructor. They really really know their stuff, I highly recommend coming here for the course. 😁👍 I just did my class 3 this past week here, again I passed. I had John P as my instructor again, and he really helped me get the training, and knowledge to succeed. I'm now thinking about doing my class 1 here as well. I absolutely love this school.

Discrimination and insult is what I experienced when I was sent there
