I graduated from SWTDT school Thursday 3/21/19! The school taught me everything I needed to know about trucking. The instructors and staff are great. Adam was my driving instructor and when I tell you he is the BEST!!!!! He is EXTREMELY patient and teaches in a way that everyone gets it. I had trouble with parallel parking and he NEVER gave up on me. He worked with me patiently until I got it. Also Darlene his boss NEVER gave up on me. She also took time away from her busy day to help me with my struggles. Steve the director is also very supportive and helps you relax. Ken was also an OUTSTANDING instructor! These instructors are funny and make learning easy and fun. If you're looking to get your CDL go to Southwest Truck Driving school. Thanks to Darlene, Adam, Steve and Ken I was able to get my CDL drivers license in 4 weeks. If it wasn't for the staff, their hard work/dedication to helping you succeed and reach your goals and them believing in you, I know I wouldn't have passed without this support team! Thank you SOUTHWEST truck driving school and Staff!

I had the pleasure of meeting with just about all the instructors. They all helped me with every step of the way. This review is over due, I graduated in July. 6 months plus later I'm working with a excellent company, taking care of family and if anyone is looking for a school that cares you won't be disappointed !!!

If you're looking for a REPUTABLE and AUTHENTIC CDL Truck Driver Training, look no further. The entire course is a total of one month, two weeks of book-work and two weeks of driver and backing (Straight backing, Parallel Parking backing and Offset backing). Dirk was my trainer and he was the PERFECT trainer for "ME". His patience level was OFF the charts! he doesn't get frustrated, he just keeps on training without hollering or raising his voice. He taught me EVERYTHING I needed to know to drive professionally and to do all three backup tests flawlessly as well as the pre-inspection. He is VERY knowledgeable in his experience in driving. He even taught us to put pressure on the kingpin EVERY time you stop BEFORE you go in to a truck stop. This is not in the curriculum, but it's HIS own personal experience in driving, which I personally, REALLY appreciated!! There were MANY things he taught us AS we were driving on TOP of just learning how to drive an 18 wheeler. All these things pertained to being a total professional driver. I cannot speak highly enough about Dirk. All 4 of us trainee's in the truck all gained a HUGE amount of knowledge on TOP of the curriculum pertaining to the professional driver. At one point, he let us drive while he stayed quite in the passengers seat grading us one at a time. he let us know what we did RIGHT and also the things that we need improvement on. I say VERY great things about Dirk, but the reality is, WHOMEVER your trainer is here at Southwest Truck Driver Training, plan on learning a HUGE amount of driving lessons. ALL of which are extremely useful while on the road!!

Instructors have alot of knowledge. Doug,Ken, and Adam were very knowledgeable and explained everything with great detail. And my instructor Danny that tested me was great. He made it easy for me to test since my nerves were already through the roof. I would definitely recommend this school to anyone looking into getting there cdl.
