If I could give zeros stars, I would. This was the absolute worst rental experience I’ve ever had. My plan was to stay here for 6 months, and I couldn’t even last that long. The staff is disgustingly unprofessional and unaccommodating considering the quality of these units.
First thing - the apartment smelled like mold and mildew upon move-in. Every guest that I had complained about the smell. I complained about the smell, mold on the air vents, and condensation in the unit, and they sent maintenance to spray paint my vents to cover the problem. The smell persisted to the point where I would get headaches. I conducted a mold test, as advised by my legal counsel, and sure enough it was positive! The unit was NOT cleaned professionally. It was infested with ants and other pests. The bath tub was disgusting, and and the drain was clogged. I couldn’t step in there to shower as the tub would quickly fill. When mentioned to the staff, they told me no one would address until Monday. (I called on a Friday morning.) Thankfully, I was selling my home and still had access to my old home. I went there to shower before getting someone to fix the drain MYSELF.
I was also locked out of my mailbox for a week. They changed the locks after providing me with a key so I was unable to check my own mail. I checked it just fine the first few days. When I mentioned it, the staff had no sense of urgency and told me that I’d have to wait 48 hours to get into my mailbox. Tiffany, the manager, even hung up in my face after she tried to be deceptive regarding the fee to break my lease. She was quick to tell me how long she’d been in the property management business yet could not interpret the prooerty’s contract. READ your lease renters. I politely told her to read the contract, consult with whomever she needed to, and call me back with accurate info. Perhaps my comment was offensive... I called the property management company (RADCO), left a voicemail, and no one returned my call to address. Not sure who they’re used to dealing with.
The gate never worked. It was left open for the first 2 weeks of my stay. They forgot to program my name in the guest gate so I would have to drive to the gate to let my guest in. The gate malfunctioned numerous times so guest would end up driving behind cars to get in.
They turned off the water in the middle of the day without notifying the residents. We were without water with absolutely no notification. This is when I heard all of the other horror stories, and experiences, from the other residents.
Upon move-out, they intentionally ignored my phone calls and emails when I attempted to make arrangements to have a donation company pick up a sofa. The company arrived at the unit and they (Lesley & Tiffany) did not answer. Then sent me a bill... I would spend money litigating this before I willingly give them a cent for it. It’s principality! I could just go on about this place. Look elsewhere, otherwise do not be surprised by the experience.
