I attended a wedding at the August lodge and it was wonderful. The rooms are large and are all equipt with a small kitchen. The place has spunk and all the doors are painted differently. It has some breathtaking views and the staff is very friendly. The owner has a dog named chili that escorted me to my room and came down to dance with the wedding party. The lodge has a washer and dryer you can use, a pool, a hot tub, and a fire pit. There are also picnic tables and a community grill. The Continental breakfast wasn't super fancy but it was cute. There are baskets you can use to bring food back to your room if you don't want to eat with everyone. There is free coffee all day in the office. Has some hiking trails and is conveniently located near a tops, a dollar store, and multiple restaurants. I had a wonderful time and would suggest the August Lodge to anyone looking to get away.

Large cosy room with two queen beds was nice and warm and seemed soundproofed (we couldn't hear anything from outside the room). Continental breakfast options consisted of cereal, muffins (extremely sugary tasting), fruit, yogurt, juice, tea and coffee, with milk, almond milk, and half and half available. It was too cold for the pool and outdoor areas, but it was a good base for visiting Cooperstown and the Baseball Hall of Fame. Rated 5 stars because it was nice but economical.

We we're a little early and the manager let us check in at this time, the room was clean and a good size and amenities we're top for the price Paid. The view from our room was amazing view of the mountains. The continental breakfast was fresh muffins and good coffee.
