I sold my house with John Magazzu in just a few days. My house needed a lot of "sprucing up". John handled all of the work. He found workers who came immediately and were very reasonably priced. John handled all the problems. I never had to worry about any of it. I went on vacation and when I came back the work was done and we were ready for the open house. He helped me get the best price and made the whole thing very smooth. It wasn't an easy sale. There was a lot of back and forth. I couldn't be more satisfied and grateful.

John Magazzu and Lisa Smith were recommended to me by a friend who had recently used them to find her own home (her and her husband were also first time homebuyers). When I met them I had no idea the role John and Lisa would play in my home buying saga. I had taken a homebuyers course some time ago that had left me with many more questions than I had started with. The process sounded so daunting and so overwhelming that I figured I had to just START it, even though I wasn’t quite sure I knew what I was doing. Throughout my search (I was very specific about what I wanted) John and Lisa thoughtfully educated me regarding each property’s pluses and minuses. It was invaluable to work with people who can see what you cannot see, who could bring my attention to both the good and the bad about different properties, who could confidently say “you don’t want that” and explain, specifically, why. When I found the place I truly fell in love with, the ONE, that was just the beginning of an incredibly difficult and complicated process. The house wasn’t truly ready to be sold but it was For Sale. John and Lisa negotiated with the seller regarding the appropriate repairs and were ready with a variety of experts that showed up, on a moment’s notice, to give assessments, estimates, and recommendations. John and Lisa supported me in making sure the work was done right, all the while overseeing that it matched the specifications of the mortgage lender (as we found the house, the bank would not lend for it despite my great credit- What??- but after John and Lisa’s guidance toward getting the right things done, they did!). The process took twice as long as the initial (typical) Purchase and Sale had forecasted and with every every new (Murphy’s Law) issue, John and Lisa were ready: making calls, communicating with the lawyers, filing appropriate extensions, and connecting with the seller’s agent. Everything was done promptly and with the utmost care and foresight. I cannot tell you the frustrations we encountered but each was dealt with arduously, expertly. It’s been less than a month since we closed and, as I sit in this house I have come to love SO much in such a short time (we truly had to FIGHT for it!) I know that I could not have done this without them. And all the while, through the anxiety, hard work, and HIGH learning curve of those couple of months, John and Lisa were always there for me with a warm hello, a laugh, a reassurance, thoughtful advice, and their arsenal of resources and expertise. I would not hesitate to recommend this incredible team to anyone about to become involved in buying a home.

Terrible experience with John Magazzu. Would not recommend him to anyone trying to sell a home! I found him to be ineffective and unprofessional.
