Jan 29, 2018
I was a little skeptical about ordering from them initially, the low prices looked to good to be true and I've never heard of their brand. So I did a little bit more research on them and found other wood workers who have dealt with them before. I was glad to see they all have nothing but good things to say about Blastgate Co. and their products. So I proceed to call them about specs and materials, satisfied with what I have heard, I placed an order via email. Now here is what I really appreciated about them and why I felt compelled to write this review. Let me save you the trouble and tell you that their customer service is top notched. Here are some examples with my experience: 1. We had a misunderstanding about the freight delivery. When they quoted me the delivery fee, I was not expecting it to be in the range of $350. So I asked them for other options to save me money on freight charges. They suggest to ship my order to a business address. I never questioned why that would saved me money but I had an address for them to use. On the day of delivery, I found out that my freight needed to be on a truck with a lift gate and unless that business had a dock they can not unload my pallet. I called up Blastgate Co. and they sorted out the misunderstanding with the trucking company. Even though we both had some blame in this mishap, they covered the extra charges and took full ownership in what happened. 2. Keeping promises on delivery. Before shipping, I was told that they could not for-fill my order of 5" clamps and that it will arrive next week. To my surprise I see a full order of those clamps included with my freight. But they were different, those clamps had the markings of their competitors (rhymes with doorlab) and were not adjustable. I sent them an email about it and they explained that those clamps where just there to keep me running till they can for-fill my order. They understand how bad this could be for my business if I couldn't assemble the ducts. Instead of letting me suffer any delays, they made things right by ordering their competitors products to keep my shop running. 3. The great communication. Every problem or concern I have encounter they were there to help me sort things out. Every step of the way, they were accountable and always welcoming my feedback and concerns. Our correspondence was mainly through email, and those were replied within less than a day. If I had to make a call, somebody always picks up the phone. TLDR: These guys are the best. Edit: disclaimer, I haven't assembled the ducts together yet. This review will be updated when I used their products long enough to make a comprehensive conclusion.
