We have worked with Oasis on numerous different occasions and have nothing but good things to say. Always quality work and they take great care of their subcontractors and staff. Very professional.

On April 30 Thomas Rochow visited the site and advised a cost of $3000 for a 10 x 18 concrete pad.Rochow added he would install a weeping tile system for an additional $100. We agreed I would pay $1500 the day of the pour and $1600 when it was finished. Rochow suggested he was not the owner but agreed it would be done prior to May 15.On May 15 Rochow poured the concrete pad.Rochow advised on site without prior mention that he would no longer be constructing the weeping tile system.Rochow suggested he would now add standard black PVC pipe to my eavestrough and run it to the end of my backyard where he would bury the pipe.I questionied the aesthetics and legality of this system.I observed inconsistencies in the pad immediately which I was told would go away after the sealant was applied.I also noticed that the pad not square and over a foot short of the requested 18 ft.The actual completed size was 16.10 ft although they had cut out and placed gravel to the requested 18 ft.Rochow left with large amounts of concrete in my neighbor’s yard.I contacted Rochow and advised it was not the correct size and the inconsistencies were still present including footprints in the cement. Rochow advised there was nothing he could do to which I asked to speak with the owner. At this time Rochow advised he was in fact the owner.Other contractors attended and advised that since it was so inconsistent and not even the correct size I should have Rochow re-pour to the correct size.On May 17 Rochow admitted it was a poor job and blamed the heat.Rochow advised he would not re-pour and the “best option” he had was to “over-pour”.Basically, he wanted to pour concrete over the existing pad and add the missing 14 inches.I advised it would crack and asked to remove the pad.On May 28 (11 days later) Rochow wrote “I’m not trying to avoid you just playing catch-up” as he had not returned my messages.Rochow then suggested 2 options: 1.)“Breakout the concrete and replace to the correct dimensions.” 2.)“Breakout the concrete – walk away –and chalk it up to a bad pour and we both go our separate ways”.Option 2 would have Rochow keep the $1500 and I would have nothing.I chose option 1 with the condition it would be done in a timely manner as he had already wasted 2 weeks. On June 1, I had still heard no response from Rochow and asked to have it completed by the end of the week.Large amounts of concrete were still on my neighbor’s property. On June 3 Rochow replied that a new pad would be poured Thursday June 7.On June 7, no one showed.Rochow then advised it would now be done June 12.On June 12, no one showed.Rochow suggested he would instead do a Roman Paver for $3500 (an extra $500).I felt if he was not confident enough to do the job he should refund me the $1500.He refused and said, “there is a risk with concrete” “you’ve lost time, I’ve lost money” .On June 19, Rochow advised the new pad was completed, that the pour went much better than last time and that it should “dry the same”.Rochow wrote “although the process was painful” “I lost a lot of money on this project” “it went on longer than it should have”.The new pad was again inconsistent, had low spots and they had not cleaned the excess concrete.I noticed standing water on the pad.Rochow advised due to the nature of exposed aggregate there is no ability to patch or fill the low spots.Rochow asked that I E-Transfer the remaining money to a private account. No paperwork/receipt/contract was provided. On September 15, roughly 87 days after the last pour I realized that the pad was cracked in half.I contacted Rochow to provide photos and to ask him if he actually stood by his work/product like his website claims. As of November 1, Rochow has not had the decency to contact me back. I have kept all emails and photos exchanged with Rochow which can be viewed upon request.I also noticed Rochow left a google review for his own company giving himself 5 stars and the appearance that he is customer which is sad and pathetic.
