As much an artisan as builder, Cory's work is simply breathtaking

I am so glad to have found this page to contribute a review. It has been several years since a project to create a patio surround, 3-sides finished. My design included a challenging curved section around a Eucalyptus, with an exposed rock face as a contrast and complement to granite masonry. Cory delivered beautifully and we delight in sharing the story of his approach as Midnight Mason. Highly recommended. I found this page while searching for his phone number—we have another project ahead and Corwin Bertrand is exactly the right guy for it!

From start to finish, Corwin's work is excellent. The rock wall he constructed around our front garden is second to none in quality. But even more impressive was his attention to providing a complete job, including thoughtful and knowledgable design considerations, thorough cleanup, and reinstatement of our landscaping to better-than-original condition. We would not hesitate to recommend Corwin. Thanks, Dave and Sara Neufeld

Corwin just finished a beautiful rock retaining wall in our front yard and we are 110% satisfied with everything about our decsion to have Corwin, the Midnight mason do this project. We would not hesitate to recomend him to any one, and we will be calling him again when we are ready to do the next project. Corwin's attention to detail and meticulas pride in his work is evident in the finished wall. Scott and Lorna Trent

Corwin did a fantastic job with our pillar. He is a fanatic about cleaning up. He explained everything to us before the work was done. We have highly recommended him to several of our friends and family. We feel he is a perfectionist and spends an inordinate amount of time on detail. Thank you Corwin. Geri and Gord

We have looked at many rock walls in our lives with critical eyes and most of the walls didn’t meet the standard that we had set. Friends of ours told us about Corwin Bertrand, The Midnight Mason, so we went to see his work. We knew immediately that we had found the person that we wanted to build our rock wall! Corwin is an artist with an attention to detail that is beyond what we expected. He helped us with design and let us know what was important for the structure of the wall. When he was creating the wall, we were in awe of how hard he worked and how beautiful the wall was looking. On top of all this, Corwin kept the jobsite neat and organized and he communicated with us throughout the whole process. We were so happy with the finished product that we immediately asked him to do a second wall for us. We were thrilled with that project so we got him to do another! Grant and Andrea T
