These guys are great...have been going there for about 6 years now.

The prices at Lawnboy are very competitive. It's a busy place and they're very curt on the phone but don't let that throw you off. Underneath that crisp surface they can be very helpful. I order mulch and soil from them all the time and their delivery is very reliable. They have river rock, sand, road base, manure, soil, turf, mulch, and other landscaping goodies.

The old couple run the business for years, they are busy for this season. I bought 6 yards soil. Their service is good, arrived on time and tried to dump on the spot I wanted in my back yard . The price is very competitive. I had a good experience.

I'm very surprised to see the negative reviews here. In my dozens of experiences at Lawnboy, the people that run this place are incredibly nice - they even put out snacks for their customers - and their prices are on par with other aggregate vendors and dump sites in Metro Vancouver. A reviewer named Van Nguyen gave them one star because he was upset that they charge $30/yard for soil dumping, and said that he'll be going to Meadows Landscape Supply instead, which is almost a two-hour round trip from this place. Mr Nguyen, there's another popular soil dump site that's much closer - Fairway on Mitchell Island is just 8 minutes from Lawnboy - and they charge 23% MORE than Lawnboy for soil disposal. Sometimes a Google reviews rating is reliable, but not always!

I use to be fan but my last experience as pretty bad. They delivered my order a week early. I double check my receipt and I was indeed written down that it was the next Tuesday. So I come home from work to see five cubic yard of soil unexpectedly dumped on the curb. (I usually lay out a drop cloth) So instead of plans of prepping the site during the week and my taking a day off next Tuesday didn't happen. I spent the whole evening and half the night moving the dirt off the curb to a temporary location in my lawn.
