THE SAIN

Oct 27, 2018

I spent ten years not really getting a veg garden started the way I want. These gals did it in ten hours. They came & met me in the back yard on a day so wet I almost called it off, but it’s Squamish and we can do rain. We talked about all the things I wished I could do, but don’t really have the skills/time for. We talked about fruit & veggies and raised beds. We looked at the available space and the existing fruits & veg and they were totally OK with balancing the need for kids play space with my desire for produce. We settled on the idea of having both raised beds and in-ground planting along with many fruit plants, from trees to berries. SOLscapes was at least as excited about getting going as I was. Their energy and enthusiasm was clear immediately and totally sold me on the idea of having them as part of my Garden Family. So, we decided to get the first garden bed in immediately. And I mean like, they switched a few thing around and were in the yard building within the week. Everything from ground prep to bed building was done smoothly. We talked over other yard ideas (there will be more to come in the spring) and the did joint planting with both these ladies and my family here. Yes they even involved the kids. It’s been 10 days and already we have 4 different veg seedlings under protective cover and more things planted for spring. I sense good things to come and highly recommend SOLscapes work, energy & ethic. I look forward to working with them for years to come.

The creative ladies at SOLscapes designed and installed a beautiful functional garden for my mother in law that is exactly what she wanted; low maintenence, a zen colour palate, walking paths and lots of little edibles around the walk. They were so easy to work with, had a great vision and really understood what we needed.

Steph and Jordie transformed our new home's dirt patch into a healthy and thriving garden! They took the time to educate us about soil nutrition, proper planting technique and maintenance, and helped us design our difficult front hill. In just one year, we went from a dirt lot to a beautifully landscaped front yard and a back garden full of food. They are always available to help and answer any questions we have. Thanks so much Sol Scapes!
